I remember when you did this piece (it was maybe about four or five minutes long) for *Guitar Techniques magazine* . It must have been from one of the 1999 editions, possibly 2000. It stands out as one of my favourite solo guitar recordings. Very relaxing, melancholic, and helps give me a little wry smile now that I'm getting older. Makes me more appreciative of what I have (a beautiful wife, a nice new house to live in). Thank you for this composition Martin.

You can tell you gave a lifetime of ideas in this piece. Some of them so subtle, natural by amazing. Never forget the first time I met you with my wife. I think you had the same hair styles at the time and were using all 16 fingers. Georgie Fame was a pleasant surprise for my wife & friends who I brought along. Now I think I'm going to listen to this again. It is stunning - but there are no surprises there. Thanks for your methodology in teaching too. Beautifully shot and edited.

Hi Martin! I loved hearing this. You’d never remember, but I was a young piano player from DETROIT in the mid 80’s playing at Pizza on the Park in London, doing a week with Eddie Thompson “opening” for me ( ridiculous, I could take 10 lessons a day from him), and you came in and were very kind and encouraging to me. You invited me to attend a performance you had with Stephane Grappelli, and arranged for me to be introduced to him- all of it thrilling. In any case, this has been a nice surprise to find you here, and I’ll certainly track down your solo recordings. BTW, at the time I was playing mostly blues and boogie Woogie piano under the name Mr.B. Stay well, and thanks for the beautiful musicianship!

Hello Martin! I have followed your playing for a few decades now. Always considered you, as with your close friend Tommy E, as the cream on top of a bunch of great players. Your style is so smooth and flowing. I took lessons back in the early 70s with Harry Leahy in New Jersey, and again 20 years after his passing with his best student at the time. Walt Bibinger. Who has your intonations style. So, after seeing this video, of which I have seen you play it numerous ways, will be on my list to work on in these times of laying around the shanty! Hope all is well.

Very nice Martin. Been' giggin; since '69, still am. Jazz trios/quart's to St Paul Chamber orch. Hope to meet up with Jamey Aebersold in June for a jam in Ky. Played Minneapolis-Mexico, Chicago to Omaha. I really miss the jazz standards and Real Book. PENSACOLA, FLA.is one of my latest finds that still has an appreciation for my favorite art form that is slowing in the So., and Midwest US. Was blessed though to play with artists from Brazil, Canada, And major US cities like Boston, L.A., Toronto, Nashville, Memphis, NY., and N.O, .La., UK. I'm just thankful for your fans and musician's like you, that are keeping compassion for this art form. Keep on. If you're interested I'll send you a CD. Can I find yours on Amazon?

Hi Martin. I saw you years ago playing in a bar in Glasgow under the Kingston Bridge. The bar might have been called Gillespie's. The band had taken a break, and I was talking to your drummer. I think his name was Jason. I was young then and a bit nervous about coming over to say hello to you, so I asked the drummer, "Do you think Martin would play Georgia on My Mind? I will never forget his reply. "F*@k off. I hate that song" Thanks Martin for playing it this time. All the best
