I always loved this movie especially when it came out in 1985. Michael J Fox was my huge crush and I wanted him to be my big brother. This movie still is golden even today. The new generation doesn't know what they are missing. They lost out we were kids of America that was back in the 70s 80s 90s and then what happened? Everything changed and everything went to pot. 2001-2024. This movie will be 40 yrs old in 2025. Its hard to believe it was that long ago. If this movie was made today. People would go back to 1995, the effect wouldn’t be the same as there doesn’t seem to be a massive technological gap between the 90’s and today!
@fridgemagnet6 ай бұрын
I beg to differ. The 1950's had transistors, proto microchips, microwave ovens, nuclear power, stereophonic sound, basic computers, credit cards, transcontinental air travel, television and radio broadcasting, supersonic aircraft and the launch of the first satellite etc etc. The 80's had much of the same only more refined. As someone who grew up in the 80's (I was 14 when I went to the cinema to watch Back To The Future) the impact was not so much of a technological one but a cultural one. The 50's music, fashion and daily life portrayed in the film was the thing that brought about the most delight as an 80's kid. Compare 1995 to today ( I was 25 ) and yes, we had cd's, very basic mobile phones and satellite TV, but I could not have imagined in my wildest dreams that the internet would become what it is today. This alongside the growth of A.I , graphics and computer power that grows exponentially every one and a half years, the technological gap between 1995 and today is way bigger than between 1955 and 1985. Just my 2 cents.
