I was always a bookish person as a kid while my brother and sisters had their transistor radios. Occasionally I'd pull my head out of a book to take note of something I heard on their radios. And as they didn't often care for the same songs the station might get changed before I could comment. They weren't being mean. They just weren't used to me listening to their music. At any rate my first paycheck from my first job bought me a portable record player. My next paycheck bought Big Iron by Marty Robbins. That was followed by Gene Autry and Tex Ritter. LOL The next album was Rimsky-Korsakov's Scherazade. In all those years I never bought a rock n roll album or 45. It was always Cowboys and Classical. With that music, I didn't need a book. Thanks for sharing your music.

Dio would give a similar effect. The man told amazing stories with music.

This is such a beautiful story telling. I could literally picture everything. And the twist ending i did not see coming (no pun intended) Bill was blind all along but still he won the fight...brilliant!

Thank you very much Nancy. Every time I get caught up a little, I have to take off again. It's nice to hear from you. Daniel
I am November 2019, and listening to Marty Robbins. Love this music, and think I am back in those days, when all this would have happened. Because have watched a lot of Western movies.

From what I've read there was one quick draw gun fight. The paperback writers used this theme to where it's become a truism in American culture. Think of Robin Hood of England. Respectfully, Uncle Bear

Why does this sound like a Johnny Cash song has its own incredible, unique song at the same time. Might be the voice, that lovely, form yet smooth voice.

Marty has the style of a bard. As for Texas Rangers, I've known quite a few. Call me bias towards them is true. I'll tell you this. Don't cross them. They make wonderful friends and temporary enemies.
