I love Johnny Cash . But Waylon Jennings is my hero. And Marty is the last link to all the great country artists going back half a century. It always shows in the way he plays country music. He's the living embodiment of the Country Music Hall of Fame and I hope he rolls on for another generation.

Marty, you have so much talent and so much heart. And you've become a Country Music historian, with the added pedigree of having actually lived the life yourself, and having known and performed with many Country artists. I hear the maturity growing in your music, and the influence of great artists like Waylon (my favorite) and Johnny Cash (my other favorite). I enjoy your music, but I also enjoy your thoughtful interviews and the fact that you captured so much of the history you've lived on film and video. Thank you for sharing this. I'm sitting here not feeling well, and having come across this has truly lifted my spirits. You've become a gift to the music world yourself, and it's great to know you and your band are still touring and performing. Go with God, Marty.
