Exactly what I would do if I had one of these. Set up a base camp from the Camper truck and do a short hop in the evening up to a mountain camp spot, head back in am before the wind pipes up...

So cool! Only question is how come you can only bring so much gear but then there is people that will strap in another 200lb person and fly with two people. Other than that, so jealous and really want to get into the sport!

alan Frick It all depends on the size of the wing and the weight range it can handle. You could bring a ton of stuff on a tandem rig, but you also have to be able to run with all the weight during launch and landing.

Nice Trip! make sure you preflight every flight! If you look at 11.24 your right hand krab is sideways and you are loading the gate!!! it could roll open, but it is not designed to take load that way. Fly safe!

Thanks for sharing. Which model of flight deck do you have? What was the Cabela thing? Would you have done anything differently?
@MartyG144
@MartyG144 6 жыл бұрын
davidis7 I have the Gin Race flight deck, and the cabelas thing is an inflatable life vest. Other than wishing I would have checked my belt tension, I wouldn't have done it any other way! Having to go for a gas run definitely cut down on my fun flying time.
@davidis7
@davidis7 6 жыл бұрын
Dawn Patrol PPG thanks so much for the response. Are you happy with the flight deck (size). Would the Cabela thing actually keep you afloat with the motor on?
@MartyG144
@MartyG144 6 жыл бұрын
Yes, I'm very satisfied with the size of the flight deck. It has compression straps and zippers to keep it together when it's not full, but if you let them all out it is very spacious. I think the vest would definitely keep me up long enough to figure out another plan, if not indefinitely.

Hey, how do you like the Delta frame? Is this the magnesium one? I'm still on the fence whether to go Delta or Titanium. What's you're thoughts?
@MartyG144
@MartyG144 5 жыл бұрын
I love the frame. Yes, it is the magnesium delta. The titanium would be nice in case it gets bent up, but so far I haven't bent this one at all. When I was purchasing, I could either go with a used one with more features or a new one with less. I am really glad I went with the more simple (no clutch, manual start) option and got a brand new one. A lot of the features that were hyped up before I bought one turned out to be not that necessary once you're experienced. Hope that helps!
@Dreaklock
@Dreaklock 5 жыл бұрын
@@MartyG144 Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I'm also on the fence about a clutch. The biggest thing I've heard in favor of it is that it helps with vibration and helps the belt last longer. And with a 5 year warranty, I don't think swapping it out every so often will be that big of a deal. As for the electric start, that's something that I really want. It just seems like such an added convenience...like a luxury feature. I don't mind the added few ounces of weight. Did you get the 5 year warranty? Overall, how easy has it been dealing with warranty issues?

ON A NON-MANNED AIRPORT? CARRY A RADIO THAT TUNED TO THE FREAK USED BY THAT SAID AIRPORT? WHEN COMING IN ENTER THE PATTERN, AND OVER THAT FREAK ON THAT RADIO, YOU ARE NOW IN THE PATTERN OF SAID AIRPORT LEGALLY? NOW JUST LET THEM IF ANY? (YOU CANT SEE THEM ALL?) WHERE you're AT IN THE PATTERN THEN YOU CAN USE THE RUNWAY AND TAXI WAYS, JUST TELL ANYONE WHERE you're AT ON THE PATTERN, (ANY TURNS-HEADING CHANGES)AND OR THE RUNWAY AND TAXI WAYS AND ONCE WHEN YOUR CLEAR OF THE RUNWAY, AND ON THE TAXIWAY. WHEN YOU CLEAR THAT AIRPORT RUNWAY, STATE YOUR DIRECTION AND STAY BELOW 600 FEET YOUR IN AREA "G" FLIGHT SPACE UNTIL YOUR FIVE MILE OUT THEN CLIMB. SO GOING TO NON-MANNED AIRPORT THAT HOW EVEN UNDER PAR 103 TO FLY YOUR PARAMOTOR LEGAL IN A PATTERN?? BECAUSE of NO ONE AROUND? THIS IS HOW YOU FLY IN AN AIRPORT AREA!! PERIOD, TO DO SO, OTHERWISE, IS ILLEGAL. JUST BECAUSE of ITS UNMANNED? DOEST MEAN A LIGHT JET OR TURBO PROP COULD NOT JUST SAY ON THE FREAK AND COME PLOWING IN AT 300 MPH? AND FLAIR ABOUT AT YOUR HEIGHT? IF YOU USE A AIRPORT, USE IS LEGAL LIKE? DONT HAVE THE F.A.A. BRING HEAT ON THE SPORT. WHY? DID I SAY THIS IF YOU DONT HAVE A RADIO?? AND A PLANE HITS YOU, OR YOU CRSH AND DIE?? IT WILL BE YOUR FAULT? BY THE N.T.S.B.? WHY? NO RADIO AND FIELD COMMUTATION AT ALL TO BE IN THAT SAID AIRPORT AREA?? THAT'S WHY!!
