Damn I forgot all about Marty, this dude taught me many of my favorite guitar songs back when I first was learning in high school around 2004-2008. Thank you Marty I've played those songs hundreds of times over the years, many drunkin nights, many happy memories. One of my favorites that you taught me is The Spy by The Doors

Thanks Marty - I'm 6 months in ( with you ) What I thought was brain surgery back in March , is now Music ( Sept ) ( though others may disagree ) . I sit on a bench out front , in the sun ( a collectors item here in the UK ) learning / playing People used to look the other way and rush by .... Now they recognise what I'm playing ! And that is down to you So, imagine how much pleasure you're spreading worldwide , eh ? "Music was my first love / And it will be my last " John Miles R.I.P.

Thank you Marty! I am a beginner and I have always loved this song, the words and the music. this was easy to follow and fun to see you tug on the low E for flourish. thank you for breaking down the strum pattern. I would love to see it up on a screen in screen in dddud notation. Admittedly, I had to play that back a few times as you strung it together. LOVE your videos, also the b7 paul mccartney trivia. humanity is so fortunate to have accessible lessons online like yours today!

Finally you slowed down the strumming pattern and I got it! Love the little extra G note on the change from A to E. Thank you!!!
