Great lesson. There are some cool subtleties in the guitar playing in this song that show you how Kurt was such an inventive song writer. One thing I’d like to add though, is that if you do play the full e minor instead of muting the g string in the chorus, it will sound dissonant when you sing. The melody note is a G# when Kurt sings the second syllable of “happy” the second and fourth time, and you don’t want to sing a G# over an e minor.

I just wanted to let you know that out of all the guitar lessons people post on here you are the best. You've helped me learn so many songs in a short amount of time. I watch your videos all the time. Even though I have been playing for a rather long time I always get self conscious about playing because I sometimes don't play my guitar for a while because I'm not that good but you help me get back on track. You have guider me back in that direction where I now play it more often even though most of the songs I'm currently learning are the"simpler" ones.
