What an epic dude. I think about the pathetic little things that I and others get all anxious and upset about ,then I listen to this guy and it really puts things in perspective. If only the world had this outlook on life. I have changed the way I think about things quite a bit since I was younger and would be constantly stressed and worried about things. I have learned that shit happens and there is no point in getting upset over things that are out of my control. Being able to just accept things and move on has been a huge personal improvement in my life. I remember in the 90s the wheelchai DH rigs. I thought those were pretty cool but never really thought about this set up for guys. I would assume that there would be a bunch of folks into a bike like this. Obviously its a pricey ride and I would assume you have to have the suspension nad geometry super precise set up because your mass is stuck on it. It would be cool if companies and /or some nonprofit could help fund these things. I think the same with public schools and how its a shame that many kids simply cannot afford the sport. That it would be cool if there was a program where all those classic 1990s bikes folk have in garages could be tuned up and donated to kids or something. God knows there are a ton of bikes out there that just need some TLC. I think a WC DH course is possible for him of course but the bike would likely need to be customized to bring the center mass much lower and farther back. I just would hate to see him bucked off. That would suck.

I remember being at Llandegla a few years ago, there was a guy with a prosthetic leg riding his bike. I was in awe of him, such adversity but still doing what he loved. I said to one of my mates can you imagine not being able to do this? But to see Martyn Ashton getting back on and being so positive, it's another level. Awesome, your a top man and if you ever need a push?

Top Bloke - mountain biking was and has always been my whole life - I lived, breathed and eat mountain biking until I was diagnosed with a bone disease 3yrs ago - that put an end to my extreme riding. I still have my Bike a custom Cove Foreplay, 55's, hope, Saints etc but is more of a clothes dryer at the moment. I've always looked up to Martyn Ashton and followed his whole career form the early 90's purple anodised craze and MBUK, Dirt, youtube and so on. When I herd the news of his accident I was very upset and shocked - I could never watch the accident. No matter how skilled and experienced we are It just goes to show how dangerous our sport can be (I guess that's the fun - right on the raggedy edge, flying down hills, drops, doubles flying out of berms barley holding on. Keep up the good work Martyn - you've been a true inspiration to me and my friends.

you guys should also work on a electric wheel assist so you can get around on flats and even back up the hills you can modify the pedal assist to a thumb throttle control like on a snowmobile or something or even a twist throttle like a dirt bike to control the electric motor speed and so on, and incorporate a electric center stand that you can drop down when you come to a stop. great job getting this together the possibilities are endless and you give hope to millions of people, you are one of my biggest hero's.

Yes cube is producing a 160mm enduro ebike. The thing is the motor won't 'pedal' itself so you always have to pedal to get the motor started. Otherwise it would count as some kind of motorcycle and you would need a number plate but I don't know the engineering stuff maybe there's a trick you can change the system.
