I heard The Mask of Orpheus and fell in love with Birtwistle's wonderful sound world, which is always supported by clear, understandable architecture. I explored more, and found an incredible range of his profound Art. I wept at his death on 18 April this year [2022]. RIP dear Harry. You gave the world some glorious music.

I'm trying to contact Harrison as I believe we are related, I too am a Birtwistle born and raised in Accrington/great Harwood I am a actor and have only recently found out who Harrison is, I knew his work for a while but never had two thoughts about our last names before my the same until I found out he was born in accrington. I know it's a long shot but Harrison if you see this message please get in touch. I have so much to talk to you about.

That's just "The Emperor's new clothes" as a description for there's nothing there but no one dare say so, has been replaced by "That's a Harrison Birtwistle".
