I hope you do another video on this, I think one key component a lot of higher mmr players don't consider is the buff to structures and bunkers. This helps your units and buildings live just a bit longer to hold them off, especially with bunkers having 2 more marines with just attack upgrades per bunker near your expansions helps so much its insane. I'm new to the game and still bad so I'm probably utilizing this poorly but seeing how you would defend with is extremely helpful even I'm bong cloud videos. One tip I can add is if you add a mix of bio or I just like to have 1 barracks when I try mech to rally to bunkers I'm sure u know u just never see people do it

i remember mech Maru vs Stats super tournament absolute banger. stats and maru were the best in their races at that time (2018 ish). maru splitting his cyclones vs disruptors, amazing.

I wonder if BC could be a good way to deal with disruptors that usually make mech bad in late game (tho yamato is slower than nova). I guess what matters most is that someone still has to find safe mech openers before it's a viable strategy.

I thought what killed mech was that Immortals just worked too well against tanks/thors, and there's not a lot Terran has mech wise than can stop Protoss from closing the distance the way Vulture and Mines did.

Probably not imo, even if the battlecruisers kill the anti air in time he would still lose all of his scvs to the zealots. Also battlecruisers are not THAT good against stalkers so if showtime needed to he could just warp 8 more ^^

he says you need bcs to not die against swarhosts but in my diamond experience banshees deal with swarmhost nydus too and i feel like its easier to hold roach allins with banshee hellion opener can someone explain to me why that doesnt work on higher lvl?

Banshees trade too poorly against queens, so if you counter swarmhosts with banshees they can just put a few queens in the nydus and your entire tech is useless ^^ beyond that banshees don't add any value because they cant kill locusts in the air, nor do they do enough damage to kill them fast enough once they land

@@uThermal ahh ok that makes sense i guess dia zergs dont think about putting queens in the nydus i guess ill go back opening bc if i play mech its never good to do something cause the opponent is to bad to counter it just thinking back to the start of my sc carrier where i thought 1 base thor drop was a legit strat in all matchups back in silver league :P
