I wanna point out that another aspect of these challenges are theoritical. Like how far can you go with Penguins ? With Bongclouds ? For example I'd never think one could go further with BONGCLOUD than with Penguin. It really highlights how beeing free to chose your strategy is "better" than having a big economical advantage. Thank you very much, uthermal aka Marc for your very high quality content. Your good humor is what brought me here (I think that I fell for a thumbnail, the unknown word "bongcloud" with you seemingly excited about it triggered me) and it's also very relaxed, chilled, yet competitive : you're playing every game to win, a mix of a bit everything. Another aspect is the regularity. Every day at dinner I can watch. It's really nice.

The hardest yet deceptively easiest challenge is mass marine drop to GM. Basically, send endless (timing) waves of marine/rax units, grinding them down. Like OG WOL Terran before the new toys (Widow mines/Cyclone/etc)

I have a suggestion for a challenge, but I dont have a good name for it. Here is my suggestion: attack with cloaked units only (ghosts and banshees - extra points if you always have to send them back to base when out of cloak) , defensively you can only use siege tanks around a planetary (tank must be touching planetary) marines can be used but only in bunkers (no roaming) mines -since they also kinda cloak - are allowed on the map and in your base.

Harder challenge? "PF Rush" into macro game (maybe PF at their side and build up from there on) You are stuck on main base, no natural expand allowed but your PF base can expand from there on

In the first game walking into 3 siege tanks a little clumped up and not fully utilizing friendly fire splash & the AoE of hellbats while ignoring the ravens was not the move lol. Dropping into the main with vikings would have at least made more sense. Quick upgrades, smart harrassment campaigns, and better unit placement will probably win you these fights, but the better the enemy's unit control the less you can do about it. A 0/1 ~7:30 timing with blue flame after feinting a 5:30 timing, just to deny the third or pull the army apart and drop vikings in the main or kill a vulnerable build makes sense I think. They transform kind of slow but against bio and workers the blue flame is what you need and you don't often need to transform in battle imo. Vikings are still really good without servos if you aren't playing as kamikaze. In order to increase pressure an SCV on the opponent's side of the map would be useful for healing damaged units and going on a harrassment/ pressure campaign. If you could build 1 medivac the viability of the early timing would go up quite a bit lol. Dropping hellbats would be possible then as well, increasing viable options. In the second game I think targeting two tech labs on the barracks in the last fight and kiting the SCV pull a bit would have done quite a lot to help you win it. You would have prevented 2 mauraders from popping out and could drop the vikings after killing the medivacs before the enemy army fully engages yours, while also kiting and killing some SCVs.

You know what I've been thinking about? Protons bongcloud. Mine 400 minerals, build a new base at 3rd, then kill own Nexus with workers. Shouldn't be too hard to make GM with that right?

Totally want mass ghost+a few vikings. So it's not penguin brothers. But it's more the "einherjar" build (a viking ghost)

First game you show your hellions then attack into the tanks. Maybe the hellions should move to the other side of the map in 2 groups? Tanks are good but when set up they are kinda static defenses. You could camp the hellbats out of range and fly some or all vikings into the main to try to trigger a response. At least some of his supply is in those immovable tanks. Could even turn the hellbats back into hellions so that there is no point chasing them. If he moves anything to the main to defend against the vikings its going to take superior numbers to fight them which might allow the hellbats or hellions + remaining vikings to get a better fight at the entrance. Or maybe the trade is slightly better if you just land onto the tanks.

He has nothing to attack if he splits his hellions. The 3rd expo that has nothing there. You can't split the vikings to try to pull away some units, because you need them to dps the tanks and you only have 4 in that timing push. Hellbats and hellions tickle tanks. You're not winning that battle without the viking's 20 bonus damage vs mech units. If you're talking about the 2nd attack when his opponent had his third, his army was already positions there because that's the standard play. (Look at where his army came from when uthermal pushed into his natural) I think you're really overestimating the transformation speed of Vikings/Hellions. Vikings can only land on top of tanks if there are no marines near by. Vikings have no armor, fly really slow, and the transformation is way longer than it looks before they can attack. If there are even like 6 marine, you're going to lose like 2 vikings by the time they land. Transforming Hellbats back into Hellions to runaway is also completely copium because the transformation takes 3 whole seconds. And not only that, but the Hellbats lose their bonus HP (135 to 90) when the transformation begins, not when it finishes. That's why players don't even bother trying to do it.

Hey so one thing I think you should try before you give up for Terran, I think you need to go more into hellions with blue flame, and use them more on the normal car mode with the range, go for slightly less Vikings and get more of a boom from minerals then gas, I have a feeling it will make it maybe slightly more doable I think maybe try two factory before starport, obviously of you have no air control and if they go banchee it would be terrible so idk man lmao I think it's one thing to try Granted I doubt it will be super good but that's one Avenue I feel like you should try if you ever do a bonus episode or want to give it one more go. Obviously a high tank count will be a nightmare but it's the last thing I feel like you could cheese a win with lol normal flame hellions suck vs Terran and are barely useable
