These words are kinda hard ngl as a learner! Like I've learnt over 2k kanji and have really strong listening but once in a while I hear some _っ_り word, I can guess the meaning but often I have to pull up my dict just in case
@sanjeev.rao37915 ай бұрын
Same. There's no hints unlike words with kanji and they don't often appear in conversation (except a couple) so they take a long time to get used to

the same grammatical form appears as _ん_り or __りwhen interacting with specific consonants (m n b d g w y r) resulting in words like ざんぶり, ほんのり, のんびり, うんざり, あんぐり, ふんわり/ふわり, ころり, くるり

Very enjoyable lesson. Most of these I would understand naturally in context, but good to hear examples and explanations.

Great video, having illustrations helps a lot with understanding these words properly. These and onomatopeia are the hardest things to learn imo, way harder than grammar or kanji. If you're taking suggestions, it would be cool to see a video about 略字. I encountered one for the first time after years of learning Japanese and it took me a while to find out what it was lol

It'd be ridiculously specific, but I certainly would be interested in a video that explains Japanese pilot terminology (like if there's an equivalent of a phonetic alphabet, what kinds of terminology is used in radio transmissions, etc). 日本語でMSFSを配信すれば、是非見ます。

When I come back, it'll be a cool idea but it's going to be like a ten part video just by how much piloting information there is The first of the series would probably be "types of clouds in Japanese" lol

There is a lot to like about your videos but I think the way you choose related words is a bit too superficial to make it easy to remember the words. All of these words have a lot of sound symbolism happening that show up in lots of related words, which makes them easier to intuit and remember. ぴったり ぴちっと きちんと might make a nice set, for example. うっかり うるむ ゆるい maybe. Now it is sound and meaning, not just sound and part of speech.
