What's wordle??
@maruhigakuen
@maruhigakuen 3 күн бұрын
@Ochai22 it's a game where the objective is to correctly guess the 5 letter word answer using the clues found in your previous guesses. White letters means that there are zero of them in the word answer Orange letters mean that there is that letter found somewhere in the word And green letters mean that there are those letters in those spots in the wordle answer The game I'm playing is the Japanese version of the English game

Is Hokkaidou very influenced by the asian continent? My Japanese teqcher said me that they have been influenced by Russian architecture and the food is more cattle than fish

You'd be surprised by how different Hokkaido used to be, Before the "modernization" of Hokkaido, rural areas used to speak a Japanese dialect that was like half Russian half Japanese There's this story I've read where a Japanese American who've only spoken Japanese with his family tried to talk with a Japanese tourist, but the guys Japanese was unintelligible to the tourist. He then found out that his ancestors were from rural Hokkaido back in the 1900s and the language he was speaking was a near extinct Japanese dialect that closely resembles Russian I'm not really sure if the cattle culture or the achetecture is inspired by the Russians, It could just be a result of the environment or modernization

The moment you brought up the '-esque' comparison I already knew I'll wind up being a headache to my real-life japanese teacher because I regularly use that kind of vocabulary with my english

Graecia is the latin name for Greece, the name for Italian Greece is Magna (Greater) Graecia/Μεγάλη Ελλάς(Ελλάδα). Greece itself has Hellas for the native name, Graecia comes from Γραικός, which was the name used for Greek (person) prior to Hellen cought on. Maybe. Ancient sources disagreed on the two terms' origins. On top of that, the word initial H (it was gone elsewere) was no longer pronounced by the time the Latins came along. In fact, when tones where added to writing during the Hellenistic period, there were two specific tones to denote if a H used to be in a word since basically only Athenians still had that sound. Done rambling.

I'm studying japanese language history and I of course learned about the Iroha because of its utmost importance in the spread of literacy (I'm quite sure the sequence in which syllables appear in it was the one after which dictionaries' entries were ordered up until the latter half of the XIX cent.) and I found it sooo cool It's quite masterly written imo, especially considering how binding it must've been to compose it while using every single each mora and once only

I dunno how you would make a vid or answer this in any reasonable way but lately, my japanese has gotten decent enough that if i just look up the more complex words in a sentence i can understand it, the problem is simply dealing with the incredibly large vocab that one has to learn and not forgetting it, like just in this episode i recognized most of the yaka words but only AFTER you put a translation on them, like wtf is wrong with my brain. >tldr im stupid, tips for learning vocab pls

@mrAMMW this is what I recommend for everybody who faces the same thing as you Try watching a shit ton of variety shows. 1) automatically comes with Japanese subtitles so if you can't read a word just listen to what they say, and if you don't understand what a person says, read the subtitles, and if you understand neither just quickly look it up 2) the people on the shows actually speak normally, unlike cartoons and books where a lot of character talks "weirdly" and "unnaturally" 3) you learn more that just the Japanese language watching variety shows Once you watch a months worth of variety shows you'll get really used to seeing different types of words in different sentences, try learning 5 words a day like that

Just curious how did AI do at the translation "At that moment, far away on the horizon, five red mice appeared, evenly spaced, moving quickly but in a straight line. The people who saw them were so shocked that no one even made a sound. If someone from this country visits, they’re likely to hear the strange story of the black man and the red mice." Also thanks for the video hope to use at least some of these words when I visit Japan next month. Thanks for the video

@southcoastinventors6583 not bad but: 1) its not just a horizon, it's a desolate horizon (just a nit pick) 2) not mice, sleighs. 3) there are many black men Overall pretty good

So for the translation (hope I get this right): And in that very moment, from afar, 5 red sleighs, all separated evenly, arose from the loneliness of the horizon and came quickly in a straight line. Everyone was so surprised that they couldn't even raise their voices. Whoever comes to that country will be told the story of the black people on red sleighs.
