Probably the best and honest review by an owner I’ve seen so far! As you said, it is a purpose built vehicle, the buyer should understand it’s utility and then only make a decision. And you’ve pointed out rightly that MS failed to market its exact strengths and the public pounced on it for nitpicking. I’m sure people will realise it’s potential soon and understand what Jimny really is. Personally, it’s my favourite so far because of its ‘no nonsense’ design and look forward to owning it soon. @@ridenseek_8 wow mileage is good I get 10 in city traffic with Honda jazz cvt petrol…mostly covering short distances near home, market and near by places. Comparing with that Jimmy is good for City as well in that case.

@@aktn8248 yes you are absolutely right Jimny is good for city but mind it's 4x4 which isn't really required in city it adds cost later which bothers alot. otherwise perfect for city

Very honest review by an actual user...... 99% KZbinrs are not automobile experts. .. SUVs are not meant for instant pickup... The Jimny is equally good both in City and Off-road. It's very good in Sands too ( I prefer the Manual Transmission)........One may use in City in the week days and go off-roading in the weekends. As the owner rightly pointed out , it's extremely cost effective, along with the service assurance. No wonder it's a global success. But in India, we need to show off.....

Nailed it! As a user myself, i can totally agree how Maruti failed the Jimny in India through poor marketing. The rest was done by M&M and the craze for size. I have been on plenty of trails in the last one year with my Jimny - high altitude, snowed passes, narrow and muddy uphills. This little goat never failed me. On two occasions in fact, a heavier and more popular 4x4 could not do what this bantam weight did. Happy travels 👍🏼

M a proud owner of jimny alpha automatic. Its not just a car, its a very important member of ur family. Its the extension of ur personality. Yes, every thing has pros n cons , jimny has some negative points too but it is a purpose built car. We should know that this car is afterall made for what kind of terrain. How can we expect jimny to outrun other regular cars in drag race. Where jimny can perform other regular cars wont. But one thing's sure, when u r behind d wheels in jimny u have the confidence that u can negotiate any terrain whatever mother earth throws at you. Jimny gives this sense of confidence which other cars can't give...

Come to the Hills Northeast i will show you what can it do its not about thrashing it but it has power more than you want here in the hills and yes Thar will not do for the hill station its too big roads dont comply

I also feel less power in my jimny. Most people advice to remap/tune . I simply just fill the tank with 97 or above octane fuel . 😎✌🏻

Putting 225 tyres does it put pressure on suspensions? I myself own the Jimny and i am confused whether to put 225/70 or 215/75 tyres in it.

On paper 215 is appropriate Tyre size with same Rim size for 225 you need to change the Rim but only on paper I'm using 225 and it's good to go with the same Rim size The only drawback is the loss of power specially on climb otherwise no issues with 225 Fuel mileage will definitely drop with both 215 and 225 marginally NO PRESSURE ON SUSPENSION

Sardarji is spot on - light weight and small size are its strengths for the purpose it's built. It truly is an agile mountain goat. But then you can't blame the public. Maruti messed up a great product by pricing it in the Thar domain. All Mahindra had to do was to just park a Thar outside a NEXA showroom.

Sir Jaise Alto Mountain ka Queen ban chuki hai....waise hi Jimny bhi ban jayegi....Actually Maruti ki gari practical hai, easy to maintain hai aur apka paisa usool ho jata hai...koi agar 3rd owner gari bhi le le maruti ka toh woh bhi shayad Dhoka nahi degi...chalega. jaise maine Maruti 800 Liya tha 99 model 2015 mein 2nd owner....condition running tha aur engine zabardast.

Sardarji i have driven Mariti’s 1200 cc cars , and i fall in love with the engine. I am quite sure about the 1500 cc engine as well, whenever i see Jimny i wanted to own it but budget issue stops me.
