I did a test drive of hydryer today. Smooth. Never felt engine was going to stop, no vibrations. The switch between petrol and battery was smooth. But less power.

The problem with this vehicle is in the boot..... This is inevitable.... Because itge platform was designed keeping ICE in mind.... So battery is kind of afterthought & bound to consume important space...

AWD is good but this segment buyers don't really look for it. Strong Hybrid is impressive but again it comes at the very cost of outright performance and boot space which doesn't seem very exciting for anyone spending 20lac+ on the car. Add to that the typical maruti issues of cheap build of outer parts. The car doesn't inspire much excitement apart from the fuel economy part. Safety is definitely plus point for it

I did research about this vehicle before buy. There no issues about power + economy also, cosmatic features not attract me but this is truelly a over-all 10/10 package for me & a family for next 6 to 7 years.

The power of hybrid is good with nice acceleration.. eco mode on highway seems a bit laggy .. but the normal mode is decent and power mode is good … so driving around 120 is easy with no sweat

HYBRID is better option.... Full electric owners require, electric supply units at their home compulsory which is diff. in buildings. Whereas, Hybrid cars can run on petrol & electric when occasionally owner get his/her hands on a charger....

Hello Gagan sir, apko kya lagta hai, jaise ki aaj gaadiyon mein sabhi tarah k sensor like reverse parking sensor, adas or bhi sensor aate hain to isse driver ki driving ability par asar pada hai. Gaadi park karte time, gaadi ke dimensions ko judge naa kar pana, gaadi park karte time dikkat aana without reverse parking sensor... Aaj bhi mostly truck driver or roadways bus driver without reverse camera or reverse parking sensor, gaadi asani se chalate hain,, Sir apko kya lagta hai technology par nirbhar hona sahi hai ya khud ki ability... 🙏

I liked the review. Thanks. One question - if there is battery and car can run on just battery (within limit, but it can), then why there is no option given to charge the battery separately? why only buring petrol to charge battery is there? One reason can be additional cost to add a charging capability, but wont it make economy better as you are not burning fuel for it? And, its optional so it wont add any range anxiety.

Gagan, as always a spot on n honest review. but i was a little surprised that you found the interior quality acceptable for a car at this price point. During my experience, i found the plastics at par with i10 Grande and sunroof cover so flimsy, and when I pressed the cabin light switch on, the whole inner layer was getting pressed. And rear seats i was able to lift then up so easily. I found quality of interiors really poor for a 20lakh plus car:(

Yesterday I went to check the car the interior quality is pathetic….. the plastics squeak when pressed and flimsy specially the door bottle holder places and the glove box….. it definitely feels like a 8 lakh car but the exterior is beautiful

Its pretty clear, strong hyrbrid version of Toyota and normal version of MS are cheaper. Buy according to variant. Toyota offers 1 more yr standard warranty plus RSA and MS has more svc across India.

Toyota can take the vehicle to the next level, increasing the price point. Toyota has that space below Crysta. But the problem is that Maruti can't afford that price point. So being a collaborative vehicle between Toyota and Suzuki, Toyota is restricted to compromise on quality(in comparison with Toyota standards) that will match with Honda city hybrid. I hope Toyota will not do it for Innova hycross, which, if they do, will be a massive disappointment for Innova lovers.

Strong hybrid uses 3cylinder engine which is noisy while mild hybrid uses 4cylinder engine which is refined

One thing on which I disagree with you is power I have hyryder hybrid I feel power is more than sufficient you have that extra pull from the battery whenever you need it specially in overtaking Also it doesn't feel I'm driving a cvt there is no rubber band effect at all which is there in city hybrid I don't know how toyota has tuned the transmission I'm getting more mileage than city hybrid All in all I'm very satisfied with the car also it is a head turner
