The truth is Maruti Suzuki is actually working on population control bill very seriously and with complete conviction. Actually these severe accidents with splendor and other motorcycles were very proudly celebrated in the company as their achievements. Their next challenges are Hero and atlas cycles. 🙏

Going by their weight reduction strategy, it seems like Maruti will be the first one to create flying cars. The car would be so lightweight, it would float on air on its own instead of using any fans, rotors, jets or aerodynamics to generate a lift.

I have a Tata Altroz. Yes, the car feels a tad bit underpowered, but I am okay with the compromise, because the car is safe. I have seen some of the accidents with Altroz and how the passengers have very less injuries. At the end of the day, safety of my family members is more important that performance for me.

Brother, I saw one video online where a Swift (latest generation) collided head on with an Altroz.... The Swift front was crushed severely & the person driving the car was severely injured. Whereas in the Altroz, a young girl was in the front seat with a man (probably her father). Nothing happened to them or the car...Just some scratches & the front lights were damaged. So I would congratulate you on your intelligent purchase....

One more reason for the large sales of Maruti Cars is also the fact that parts availability and service centres are everywhere throughout the country, even in rural areas. While many others brands lack this. People thus refrain from buying such cars as if in case of some problem in car they had to take it to other city for servicing. And also many local mechanics hesitate to touch other car brands as they don't have experience with such vehicles and they may end up increasing the problem

Maruti800 if I'm not wrong came in early 80s 40,000 back then was way too costly. Let's sit it time machine and go back. 2022: inflation rate @6% Maruti800 launch: 1985 (approx) 1985 to 2022 = 37 years 37yrs × 6 (inflation rate) 37 x 6 = 222....Let's take round figure so I will reduce 22 and assume 200. Now let's multiply 200x40,000 = 8,00,000 So, in 2022 it's 8lakhs which is still not affordable for a middle class family. So, the cost back in 1985 = 40,000 is not affordable for middle class family.

The inflation rate is going high, the items' prices are going high but our salary remains same therefore once an upper middle class family is now just a middle class family. Poor are not affected as they happy with very little they have Rich are not affected as they can buy anything with their money Political people : no comment Left over is middle class who are stuck in between and feeling the pinch on everything. Had there been equality in terms of matching price and the salary given, we would have had everyone at equal place only if political greed was not present. This is a circle, going round & round with same story since 1947 India will remain like this 1000s of years unless the mindset changes, especially politics, industrial exploitation, employee exploitation, uneven malpractices, religion political battles etc etc. So, moral of the story: Be happy with what we have and thank God. Because any voice that is sounding all over the country will be suppressed unless it's a gain for political body

Reliability and parts availability along with cost effective servicing plays a crucial role in Suzuki's success in India

All the three points you said is applicable 5 years ago. Now suzuki are not reliable in engine department. Lots of complaints with new Celerio. ARAI mileage is 26kmpl in Celerio but due to low power and torque we need to push it hard to drive it hence giving very low mileage of 16kmpl in practical situation.

@@niriap9780 I don't know about the celerio, but my friend has a 2021 swift...his vehicle has a better fuel economy and a cheaper service cost then my 250 KTM Duke.....plus the spread of service centres and good warranty and road side assistance.....but all those together still does not justify their pathetic build quality and a lack of safety...

As a Maruti owner I can say these cars are not at all reliable or cost effective. I spent 18k for my 8 year old alto a couple of months back for few parts changes. I had to change battery, steering assembly, clutch plate, gearbox, disc plates and some other parts. I had to wait a month for a few parts. After sales service is a myth. Every service costs around 5k. My old i10 was far far better in terms of driveability, comfort and long term maintenance. Fuel efficiency was at par with the alto. Don't know why people still fall for Maruti. Personally I won't purchase a Maruti ever again.

This is only possible for the Cheap mindset of Indians who prioritize few rupees over their own life. Cars are reflection of the owner's mindset, US has bulky trucks and muscles, Japan has efficient and utility focused tuners, Europe has overall great pieces of engineering, such as Merc, BMW, Audi etc. And India has Tin ka Dabba Maruti. A fact to be ashamed of. Good thing is that trend seems to be changing with Tata's high security cars becoming successful.

Maruti do need to work on its built quality, And why mostly maruti car accident ended up in either serious injury or death to its passengers and almost crushed car , The reason is may be majority of maruti accidents are caused due to over speeding, way above on which crash tests are done . I experience cheap reliability tata tiago from 2016~2020, my brother bought it. It was his first car . Tata car means endless and non solvable issues. Frequent meetings at tata service center. Every single manufacturer will be more than happy to make a safe car if the existing idiotic taxation structure is changed. The govt charges 29% GST + CESS on 1.2L engines. This kind of taxation is ridiculous and impossible for car manufacturers to run a sustainable business in market where price factor plays an important role. THe bulk of money is being eaten by the govt in terms of taxes. The state govt charges a tax on top of tax in RTO. No other country has such idiotic taxation that's why the best cars are available and sold there, and that's why Suzuki can't bring or sell the same models here because it becomes beyond reach.

@@sansubr19 The tax structure is something I am not aware of, but if anyone thinks that car manufacturers will provide more safety in absence of regulations and public demand, all on their own, if govt simply reduces taxes, then that's a fool's paradise. The first and foremost thing they would look for would be profit margin, not margin of safety

Completely agree with this video, Suzuki India is producing poor quality when it comes to strength of the car. But Japanes have the best engine and transmission which does not fail at all. For city drive these are the best buys. For highways one should always have a safe and larger car. this change has started. Government should implement stricter safety norms. High time car owners should not overload the car, 8 people in 4 seater is also a big safety issue.
