I had been reading and searching about the new swift back since 2016 and I loved it's looks and interiors and everything about it. But only after its launch in India that I learnt that the build quality was compromised. That doubt was solidified by the evidence from the global ncap crash test of the swift. I still love the swift for its looks and interior and dynamics etc. But I am not willing to put my life on a car that has poor build quality.

Beautiful video. It's very informative. I have a Suzuki A-Star automatic VXI 2011 model with ABS. The chassis metal is so thick. Looks so robust. Doesn't rattle at all. Even at speeds as top as 130 (never drove beyond that). But they discontinued that model. I hope someday, Suzuki revives it with greater features in India. Although it's still in circulation in European markets as Celereo. And our Celereos are different. Out there, the Celereos are Astar renamed. We need sturdy cars like my a-star in India which is great in terms of cruise-control, mileage and safety. The AT version which I possess, simply rocks.

Hello. I'm using 2013 model swift zdi and made it around 92k and I've just purchased new swift zdi plus manual on dec 24th 2018. I'm super upset with the build quality of this vehicle. Door mirrors makes noise while little down, poor tyres and many more related issues and the most disheartening thing happend to me that my car's clutch plate/ pressure plate is facing issues from the first day. I got it changed free of cost bt after opening all under parts and everything now it feels like not satisfying to me when car is just under 2k kms😣. Very sad for this 😣. Avg is good looks good features quiet good bt build quality and products 👏 Plz avoid buying it if u can. Thankyou.

Not all Indian cars are NCAP tested. NCAP rating for Indian cars may be different from European counterparts, they looks same but Indian one are built on cheap platforms. Even Skoda vogswagen have developed cheaper platforms for indian cars. That's why cost is high in developed countries for same cars.

Maruti Suzuki is lowest in build quality. Even fiber not up to mark. they keep low cc engine to show higher milege. Make people fool by adding unnecessary sensors like reverse parking, rain detection etc. which cost not more than 10k. But never improved quality.

Address the real problem. Swift in Europe has very much higher standards, but not in India. Why? We're paying 35%additional taxes on cars as the parts are imported. In order to stay competitive they're are cutting down the cost by reducing the quality of the body and placing lower standard interiors. Ask the govt the reduce tax.

The problem is not with the manufacturer the problem is with the Indian customer they only need mileage and resale value so the manufacturer takes the advantage for example Ford Freestyle it has a lot of safety features and body has a good built quality but it has not much mileage that's the reason yy people don't buy the car so please see the safety also before buying a car form any manufacturer
