This was a great help to understand the whole carburettor functioning process of zen as I am an owner of same model same colour zen (second hand). I still had lot of doubts about the vacuum hose connections and other engine related doubts, but none the less, fabulous effort. Thank you.

We don't own a 1997 model 800. We will update a video of our 1996 Maruti 800. In the meantime you can refer to this video to service the carburetor of your 800. The carb is similar so is the procedure.

A brand new original carburetor is no longer available. You can check for Pacco brand carburetors in spare parts shops. Not as good as the original though.

Hello, I haven't heard of anyone using Zen Carb on a Petrol Ambassador. There are people who have retrofitted Mikuni Carb from Zen and 800 on old Fiat 1100s and Premier Padmini's. Will surely check if there is any possibility. An alternative option is to buy brand new Pacco carbs which is replica of the original Solex carb. Not the best quality carb but the car will run fine

Hello bro i saw ur video and just made tunning of my zen carburetor from my mechanic and the problem is after cleaning and tuning there is so much of white smoke with smell so i am worried abt it before the tuning process there was no such complaint😢

Hello brother. Seems the tuning was not done properly or there is some other issue with the engine. The procedure for tuning the carburetor that is explained in the video is as per the Suzuki service manual.

But the mechanic said the tuning is made properly and he told me to run the car for 1 week and just check whether smoke is coming or not. And the car seems to be running like missing and is it true to wait for 1 week

@@harshith_j If the tuning is done properly then there shouldn’t be any issue of missing while running. Did he connect all the vacuum tubes properly?

@@bosegarageno brother he didn't remove the vaccum pipes he just removed the throttle and cleaned the air jet, slow speed jet and sprayed the cleaner to the openings

@@harshith_j Brother the carburetor needs to be dismantled completely for a proper clean up. All the gaskets and orings needs to be changed. The tuning needs to be done when the engine is at operating temperature. Try to adjust the air screw to 1.5 turns open position and see if the smoke is reduced.

Also you might take a look at the first video which we have posted on our channel about Premier Padmini 137D restoration and things to note regarding the car's bodywork. You won't find any other video that shares the information that we have shared. The carb tuning procedure that Brutha follows is 1.5 to 1.75 turns of idle mixture adjusting screw. It might work for some Zens but not for all. If you watch the part 3 of our Carb service video you will understand the tuning procedure that we have followed which is exactly as per the service manual. This channel is not dedicated for Zen maintenance videos alone. You will soon understand that when we upload our upcoming videos on various other vehicles. Thanks for your feedback.
