I'm one of the few people that likes Marvel 2099. Spider-Man and especially Doom were both unquestionably good. Ghost Rider was a really cool idea that was just executed poorly. Punisher is a guilty pleasure (I'm a big fan of Pat Mills). I remember that I did read a couple of the early issues of Hulk, but I don't really remember them. There's no excusing Ravage or X-Men. Ten years later, Marvel released Marvel Knights 2099 which was not connected to the standard 2099 universe and had some interesting stories in it (I don't know if I'd say it was good though).

For the most part I agree with you. I did enjoy Ravage to begin with then he got all beasty and stuff. X-Men was actually my favorite. I dod not e joy Manifest Destiny however. Total anticlimatic for the whole line. I never bothered with the 2099 knights.

I enjoy Ghost Rider 2099 for distinctive it was, gritty and grimy urban decay, youth in rebellion, the results of a short sighted hero get ruined by his own actions, controlling society getting bucked and media control. The artwork does take a nose dive near later half but gets back up to tolerable. X-men 2099 is great in my mind, the nose dive near the end was inevitable with he lose of Joey Cavalieri, the comic interest with Doom 2099 twice and it upheaval from One Nation Under Doom was awesome to read.

after the Unlimited 1-6, Hulk 2099's story continued in the 2 parter For the Little People and The Closing Net that were in Spider-Man 2099 #25 and Ravage 2099 #25. of all the books in the 2099 series that coming up short it was Hulk 2099

Fun fact! Hulk 2099 did spin off of another book. His story started in 2099 Unlimited, and then spun off into his own title. Granted, it doesn't really help you understand him. And you should really look at Ghost Rider 2099 in the future. Once the artist changes about halfway through, it devolves into the very worst of all of 2099. Yes, even worse than X-Nation. :)

_Daredevil 2099_ wasn't actually 2099 per se, it was part of _Marvel Knights 2099_ (which was a series of one-shots like Black Panther, Inhumans, and a different Punisher) and gets classified separately because _Knights_ doesn't take place in the 2099 universe. Of the _Marvel Knights 2099_ stories, Daredevil is probably the best, but they're all kinda lame.
