I'm always confused by weiss schwarz, the cards seem to have stats so they must be playable but I don't think I've seen a single person playing it, is it more popular in Asia does anyone know?

Some Weiss Schwarz sets come to English, most don't so it's definitely more popular in Asia. Weiss Schwarz/Union Arena and Build Divide are all different TCG games, each with their own mechanics/ruleset like say, Pokemon TCG vs One Piece TCG. The big difference is that with WS/UA/BD they are umbrella games that partner with entertainment companies and put out all sorts of different sets that can be used in their game. Anime series, TV/Movie series, etc. So with Weiss Schwarz you can literally have someone with a Star Wars deck fighting the Sword Art Online anime's deck seamlessly. You bring your favorite to the table and fight against theirs.
