Marvel Champions Deckbuilding Tutorial - Rocket Raccoon

I like listening to you go through your thought process in builds. One thing that might make building easier when you're looking for cards with certain traits is to use the in-build search bar using the operators. The one you'd use the most often is really easy to remember: k:[trait]. That's it. So if you're looking for guardian allies, you'd just put k:guardian in the search box and then all you'll have show up for available cards in the build list are cards that have that guardian trait. No need to jump back and forth between pages!

@@webwarriorfanatic As the card pool got bigger, deck building with the CDB got a lot more bogged down. When I discovered that function, it made my life so much easier.

Really good point. I can definitely see taking out the 2 Make the Call for it or just making a 42 card deck like you said. But there’s enough cards that can’t utilize the Power in All of Us like Suit Up, Blaze of Glory, and all of Rockets identity specific upgrades that we want out. In addition to him already 2 double resources in Salvage I would personally not add in the Power in All of Us, but it’s definitely not a bad idea to put them in.

Awesome video! It's great hearing you talk through your process. One thing I like about your process is that you don't end up with a huge deck that you then have to then pair down, which tends to be an issue for me. Focusing on and selecting a purpose/theme to your build goes a long way towards that end, I think. One card I think I'd really like with this deck would be Quincarrier (instead of Helicarrier), which can be brought in through the player side scheme Build Support. Of course, you'd have to remove another card if you still want 40, but I think that could be done fairly easily and would add even more consistent mental/wild resource generation for Moon Girl. Plus, Quincarrier is a compatible resource when using Make the Call, while Helicarrier can't be used to assist with that (or at least I don't think it can since the card being played is Make the Call and not the ally being "called").

You’re definitely right on how Helicarrier can’t be used with Make the Call, and i also like Quincarrier way more than Helicarrier for the reasons you mentioned. That’s definitely a good way to go-it’s more investment early game but Rocket has strong thwarting and the payout is worth it late game. Thanks John! You got really good feedback :)

I’m currently tinkering with an alternate way to deploy “Lunellea & Companion” without Suit Up. Not that I don’t mind a good exploit, mind you. I just have no more room in my ready-to-play roster for another (L). In other news, the problem with Professor X is there aren’t enough of them especially when one insists on having a ready-to-play roster. Great to get a deeper understanding of your thought process. Next time close the blinds behind you. 😆

Hahaha i have a little bit of an addictive personality so I’ve been spamming Suit Up sooo much and currently it’s my favorite event forsure. I think after the new card hype dies down my opinion may change but i really enjoy that card a lot. GMW Expert Campaign will definitely be played on this channel. I’m really hoping for Magneto to be the 4th hero this wave and i would take him through the GMW campaign because i wanna see him interacting in space with Asteroid M and Ronan invading it. Either way, GMW will definitely be the next campaign i attempt :)
