Excellent work! I’m with you on One Way or Another. It’s sooooo fun but I don’t want to over do it lol. That being said you did make it sound really fun with Wolverine so I’ll definitely be giving that a try soon!

I love colossus with a confuse lock deck. He wants to flip every turn, and has confuse in his kit with steel fist!

Also scarlet witch works great with shield. Global logistics lets her set up hex bolts with whatever boost counts you need!

Oooh Colossus probably should have been one of those heroes now that you bring that up, incredible and also has that confuse in his kit with Steel Fist! Good call!

NICE! Yes that is an awesome idea! I have heard about this but have not been able to try it yet!

I think you missed the best hero for the one way or another build, ms marvel is crazy good in it. She can also make the attack cards that trigger off clearing threat better with enbiggen. Great video as always, keep up the great work

100% agree! Good catch, she is great with OWOA! Thank you!

Thank you for the video! When you do these archetype videos, could you list an example of each deck type on marvelcdb?

Good stuff, dude. I'm partial to One Way or Another, myself because I play primarily solo.

My favorite solo justice style I just call it "Stage Lock", and the idea is to keep any Villain on Stage 1B (assuming that's the best for my hero): using hero thrwarting, allies, and various upgrades but especially cards like Interrogation Room, Beat Cop, Under Surveillance, Counterintelligence. I think maybe it's just a hybrid of the your styles? I don't know for sure. I usually include only one copy of these and get them out during my first pass through my deck, then focus on building the rest of my board state and taking down the villain. I'm working through the preGMW villains with She-Hulk on expert and really, really enjoying it. Also...you have great t-shirts. Have you ever worn one twice? I haven't seen all of your videos, but a fair number, and I don't recall seeing any twice.

Oooh I really like that playstyle! Hope you are enjoying She Hulk! Thank you!! I am sure I have worn one twice! But I do love finding fun shirts!

Its a pretty good list tho I think there are some omissions. The Big Thwarting deck I personally just call Event Justice, that way it covers 2p decks which really just runs Clear the Area and Multitasking. The goal of the deck is the same regardless, and the core idea is Thwart events, regardless of which ones you choose. Personally, I think the Zero threat thing is a variant of the above more than a separate thing since the core mechanic is basically the same, but it's fine. Whereas, I think the Basic Thwart/Ready deck is a separate archetype. A deck I call Flip, or Alter-ego Justice runs meditation with cards like Beat Cop and Sonic Rifle and allies to facilitate flipping or even stay in AE. It is basically your Confuse Lock deck, but there is just more to it than just confusing. And finally, the newest Justice archetype is Ally Justice, specifically the X-Men version with Mission Training and Game Time, and it is legit.

Awesome insights! Curious how you view the Basic Thwart / Ready as different, can you enlighten me on that? The flip AE deck is great! I like that idea a lot! And you are right the ally thwarting is getting really strong especially now that we have cards like Command Center from Wolverine's pack! Hopefully we can start to get more cards like that because I think it will be a really fun playstyle that I have not been able to try out yet! Thanks for the comment!!

@@NelsonAllOverCards I suppose it really depends on how you separate archetypes. Event Justice and thwart/Ready essentially accomplish the same thing, and that presumably why you lumped them together but how they get there is very different with very different types of cards. With Event Justice, you are using Thwart events supported by Sense of Justice where as Thwart/Ready is using cards making an entrance and readies. Those 2 archetypes also exist in Aggression so I'm interested to see what you do with that, although Attack/Ready is much more developed than the Justice counterpart.

I love your rundown! Perfect for me as a newb! Looking forward to the other aspects! I do have a question. You highlight Problem Solvers as a good way to remove threat from multiple schemes. If you are in a 4-player group, would you consider Even the Odds over it? The max threat removal may be lower, but it doesn't require exhausting or character match-ups.
@NelsonAllOverCards2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I wouldnt consider it over Problem Solvers, but it becomes much more playable in a 4p game. Even the Odds feels like a very niche card for me because it requires a lot of side schemes to be in play. Problem Solvers also effects the main scheme so it can be utilized more frequently IMO.

@Nelson All Over Cards great point about Problem Solvers affecting the main scheme! I didn't realize that!

Ive played a few games of one way or another with Ms marvel and have been having a blast. It feels like I'm cheating. You can get a good burst of cards with her persona supports, her alter ego ability, and alter ego hand size. Then you flip and one way or another to get a stupid amount of cards. Next you clear the area to draw two cards, shrink if you need to. Exhaust Ms marvel to get clear the area back. Aamir can put one ways back from your discard to the bottom of your deck. Then when you clear the side scheme later that turn, use your chance encounters to get more chump blockers and to shuffle your deck to get the one way or anothers closer to the top. One question I've had is if the timing works to justice serve. If I play a clear the area to clear a scheme and use Ms marvel to put it back in my hand is she exhausted in time to be readied by justice served?

Love that build! It sounds awesome! And yep you are still within the response window so that interaction will work!

IMHO, there are only 2 archetypes of Justice deck: One being thwart events user, and another being ready-thwarter. No matter what card you use, you always get down to this 2 types anyway. Every hero can basically be thwart events user, but some are better. Only small number of heroes can be ready-thwarter: Captain America, Spider-Ham, SP//dr, Iron Man, Quciksilver, Raccoon, Spider-Woman, Venom cuz these heroes have their built-in readying. Thwart events user can be branch into what your vid are showing: Big Thwarter, SHIELD. Ready-thwarter kinda have chemistry with any upgrade: Confuse lock with Sonic Rifle, Heroic Intuition, Justice Serve On 1or2-player game, any build is working without any sweat at all. Hell unleashed when you play 3or4-player game, cuz most of events and upgrades don't scale to the number of player. Whereas, all the schemes scale up. I usually play 4-player game. My oldest trick to clear any scenario with lots of threats and side schemes is to play Ms. Marvel. 1. Get her Shrink in the table ASAP. 2. Attach Overwatch to one of side scheme. 3. Use Even the Odds and pay it with 2xPassion of Justice and boost it with Shrink. 4. Bam! 8 threats removal on each side schemes. 5. Trigger Overwatch, bam! another 8 threats removal on any other scheme. (You can even target the main scheme with this.)

What is your favorite Justice archetype? Any that I missed that should be included?

As someone who also made an archetype video I have to disagree on certain things. I don’t believe groot is a great pump thwarter he is way better in a AE strategy where he can control threat and finish the villain off in a surprise flurry of I am groots maxed out. Next one way or another isn’t a real strategy it works against certain villains but don’t forget you reveal the side schemes and some of them are very nasty. Looking at you state of emergency. I only found 3 archetypes. Permanent justice Which is more for solo 2 player. Lots of permanents like beat cops counterintelligence to favor flip flop and AE strategy which are more a style of play then an archetype in my opinion Your zero threat I just called vigilante justice. And big thwart I called it focused. I remember it was hard compressing all the archetypes in 1 short video. Good job.
@NelsonAllOverCards2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment! Groot can do a lot of stuff once he is built out on growth counters! I'm surprised to hear that you think that about OWOA! I have found that to be the closest thing to a broken card we have in solo play. You do need to reveal it, but so many of those scheme's downsides are offset by the 3-5 cards you get to draw for revealing it. Usually if there is a bad one in there I avoid reveling that specific one or run a different strategy against that villain. I do think if I was to go more than 5 the Beat Cop permeant justice would be that 6th one to include! Cheers!
