Good review but I have many questions: Can you multiplayer? like 6 people grab a hero each? I presume teams, also can you free for all, are there any rules for everyone fighting each other? how about change team sizes, is it fixed? or can do you like a 2v2 or even 1v1 cap vs skull etc. How are characters balanced are there points like 40k or is hulk the same power as widdow etc

Got my paints and area all ready. I am also a Captain America fan. I am mostly hoping for Marvel Kights like Ghost Rider and Moon Knight. I just hope they also release core set minis as separate releases so you can choose poses and costume color schemes.

Oh man this looks great! I guess it’s a good thing SW Armada doesn’t get many updates because this looks like something I’ll get in to (although I’m a little disappointed I’d have to paint them...oh well). Between this and Marvel Champions I guess there goes all my free time. The obvious ones like Cap and Iron Man of course look great but for some reason Ultron is favorite of the course set models and one I’d want to try out a lot in game. The Venom model from the expansion looms great too so running him and Spidey is going to be amazing.

I love the heroclix mechanics but I don't play because it constantly changes with new variations of characters, makes my head explode. I wish they had a more basic game with standardized characters.

Liking what I'm seeing. I love games Legion and X-Wing but im interested in a supers miniatures game that burrows from those types of games but with more complexity than say heroclix. I like the idea of a smaller play surface and smaller team builds of 10 or less characters. Fav model in this set is Spidey or MARVEL. Would LOVE to see s future expansion featuring the Guardians

Hey Crabbok, great video as always. But are you sure about the “bang” critical die result? I thought the additional dice you roll for the critical of you get more critical s you would add even more dice. Because the added dice are not rerolls they are added to your initial roll... Edit: nope, you’re right. The rules make it pretty plain.

I'm very interested in expansions. Teams like X men and Sinister Six would be great. However, I do feel the cards are a bit...underwhelming from a design point of view. I demoed it at Gencon and found it extremely fun. Almost a large figure SW legion.

You can always adapt rules. But the fundamental mechanics of this involve gaining power through attacks and by receiving damage. Thematically that works great for comic book super heroes but makes less sense for the SW universe. I honestly think you would have an easier time using the existing Legion rules as a basis for a Legion skirmish game.

Might be possible to just simply develop custom hero sheets for Star Wars characters that would make them compatible with this ruleset. Apply some of their command card abilities and convert them into super attacks that cost power. Might be fun!

Thank you for these videos. I jave just started getting into mini games and with Age of Sigmar that is a buttload of lore and history to dive into...overwhelming. Marvel, OTOH, I have about 30 yeara of history and lore to pull from. And my Sigmar minis can always be invaders from another dimension. ;)

I get that. The expansions do seem a bit pricey - but then I consider that with other games, I'm often tempted to buy multiples of each expansion for army building - and in this case I'll only ever need ONE of any given expansion - and that probably means I'll spend less in the long run.

I've gotta say I love Cap. Getting to see the injured side of his card and the health and new powers really cemented that. I'm really looking forward to this game as well, so I've been looking over everything I can find. There ARE a couple more affiliations coming with the expansions: Wakanda and Asgardians (since you mentioned affiliations in the video).

I agree that those cars seem too small. A car to the same scale should be about 3.5" long.

@@Hedgehobbit I think those cars are simply smaller cars - hatchback type smart cars or something to that effect. There is a truck pack coming out with huge vehicles. I feel like the scale is about right in person.

@@Crabbok I own a bunch of 1/48 die cast cars for an old post-apoc game. They would be perfect for this. And, they are probably much cheaper. I've seen people on BGG that use O-scale model train buildings for this game. Those can be found fairly cheap if in kit form, while you can buy prepainted, lighted buildings for $100 or so.
