Which also ruins a whole lot of other things given how far marvel and its continuity have forked up.

Exactly. Everything that they've done for years now has been to centralize women. In some cases ANY woman over male characters. They definitely took advantage of the opportunity. They could barely keep the first film focused on T'challa for highlighting the female warriors and positioning his kid sister as the mind behind things instead of him. Even in the comics, Black Panther was simply greater than the majority of his contemporaries; richer, more formidable, more powerful.They weakened the character considerably before he ever hit the screen.

They should’ve listened to us and recast T’Challa in the first place for BP2 like the family wanted and like Chadwick himself would’ve wanted, but instead they decided to kill I’m off. And since he’s dead, it’s just going to be seen as cheap and disrespectful for them to recast NOW. Most of us were saying that it was a bad choice by Marvel to do that from the start and now it’s turning out to be true. They should’ve either done that and kept the original plot, or they should’ve reworked the plot of WF to where it takes place somewhere within the 5 years between Infinity War and Endgame. T’Challa had gotten snapped and everyone thought him and the other half were dead. Which still would’ve validated the funeral and sendoff to Chadwick as T’Challa. Then at the end of the movie or one of the after credits scenes, they fast forward to post-snap Wakanda and either tease or straight up reveal the new T’Challa actor. It all could’ve worked if they played their cards right. Now this just seems desperate.

It was very sad when Chadwick Boseman passed, but when they made his sister black panther, it went with the comics. In the comics, after T'Challa suddenly died, she took over. As always in the comics, T'Challa did return. So all this is not surprising, kind of expected given how it was done in the comics. Yes, Chadwick's death did have a big affect on the story, but the team and Marvel did the best they could, within the time restraints they had. So as long as they cast the right person, I'm cool with it

Coates started off strong but very quickly turned it into political commentary and "critical race theory" nonsense. Never should've let that guy write a comic. I didn't mind comic-Shuri as the Panther, but Letitia Wright just is not comic-Shuri. Pretty sure in that run, when T'Challa dies and comes back, he becomes the king of Wakanda's necropolis (why Wakanda would call their city of the dead a "necropolis" is beyond me, it's not like they were ever influenced by ancient Rome or latin language), and then Shuri stays the Panther, but eventually gains some odd bird power where she turns into a giant flock of black birds lol.

For Black Panther 2, they missed the opportunity of bringing in a new T’challa. You had Spider-Man: No Way home, Multiverse of Madness, and now Loki and Deadpool 3 to show or use the concept of the multiverses bleeding into one another. You could have had set up a “fish out of water” type scenario with this new T’challa just trying to find his way in this world, and still pay respects to Chadwick. You also would have been able to set up the family/sibling conflict of Shuri not coming to terms that this is her brother from a different universe. Everyone else is accepting him as their new King, he is proving himself over and over again, goes down the lines of being “adopted” by the people and family but not Shuri, leading to a conversation or altercation of T’challa saying “I am T’challa” and Shuri quickly responding with “but you’re not my brother!” And if you wanted to include Namor and all of the outside attacks on Wakanda you could. And at the end it would come to terms with something across the lines with “family isn’t what you’re born into, but who you choose to be with” or some Dominic Toretto vibe at that rate. you could still have that moment in Haiti with this universe’s T’challa still having a son that is born and that’s someone Shuri will hold onto deeply. Do we all know why they didn’t do the recasting, yes. was it stupid, yes. do I think it’s too late, I have not seen a script but I do think it’s a little too late This is all my two cents

What they could do is this. First do not put a straight black male actors and cast him to be gay or anything feminine since this is what Hollywood usually does. Then use the same universe where wolverine was when he was crucified (the failed universe) where the heros failed. Black panther would be in this one and somehow the panther god would transport him to the 616 universe. This BP would be more different and badass, he would have his teleportion tech along with a vibranium suit that has artic vibranium with it as his basic suit and his secondary suit would be an iron man like suit with anti metal/healing weapons and tech. I want this BP to have the cape similar to the comics and his magic panther powers. I want his magic to be subtle like him being anti magic, anti illusion and anti mind control and anti cosmic. In comics he beat up Memphisto and silver surfer while struggling against cap and Namor so let's say he is anti magic/cosmic. When he arrives at 616 wakanda his mission is to save his land and his world from the threat from the world he failed, where instead of replacing shuri they both will be The Black Panther. The actor who should pay should be either the one who played Hawkman or the one who is playing wonderman.

Tbh I thoroughly enjoy Black Panther 2 for what they could do. Everyone always jumps to conclusions on what they perceive happened. Disney has made a lot of mistakes. But they were not cash grabbing on someone's passing. The whole movie was based on honoring Chadwick boseman. And despite his wishes simply doing certain things ain't always easy and sometimes business gets in the way. I think they did the best they could with the circumstances considering Ryan Cooglar had to rewrite the whole story. So it's okay to have your own preference when it comes to that sequel. But I know a lot of Marvel loving fans who enjoyed that movie. And there was a lot of love put into it regardless of what some perceive. Regardless looks like fans of both get what they want. Not recasting and then recasting. So as a fan of the series and that a traditional hater like everyone online. I'll take this with positivity. As I did with them going a different course. (However Wasn't the biggest fan of Iron Heart But I'm not a hater so I'm optimistic on everything because change can be good sometimes but sometimes it may not work) 😅😆

Thank you, because from what was explained it’s NOT a “recast” he’d be a variant from an alternate timeline. And if that’s the case how would he exist in the main timeline without creating a hole like explained in Dr strange??? For it to be an actual recast it really only makes sense as someone else said if he’s resurrected spiritually by the panther god Bast for some reason due to all the mystical and celestial threats taking place. Like the celestial from eternals being shown in the newest brave new world trailer…. Which means we know exactly when that film took place meaning there’s major plot holes again.

Kevin Feige didn't do Black Panther justice when they didn't recast the character with the recent Black Panther movie. Even Chadwick wishes him to be recast. Atleast Chadwick understood that Black Panther is a bigger than life character who really needs to be appearing in his own movie.

I'd honestly have T'Challa's son come through the multiverse as an after effect of what happen in No Way Home and have him be the new Black Panther. His story could be that he's trying to filfill his father's dying wish but fell through the multiverse and will more or less be the trainer for the Black Panther in this universe all while completing his father's last wish.

His name was William Hurt a legendary actor. But the mere fact that you couldn't remember his name, shows how vital important the character was through the first 4 phases of Marvel. And really, I don't think they were EVER gonna involve him, or the Red Hulk on the cinematic side. But with their movies sucking as bad as they did, they had to try something. I am however happy to see that they are recasting T'Challa. We were all sad about the passing of Chadwick, but I think even he would've wanted the character to live on. Time does heal all wounds, and I think even fans who were dead set against at first, are now okay with it.
