I still remember when i was young .. i used to watch all these Phase 1-3 movies on TV in Hindi 😂 and it was just for enjoyment..i didn't knew what other fans on internet think about the movies ..or how all this comic book references work ; in true sense i enjoyed them without any spoilers and at the present when i go on internet and see other people's opinions on current MCU...i feel bad ; tbh infinity war was the point for me when i understood how everything this is connected and ever since that i enjoyed Marvel more for their smart work in connecting movies... I felt bad seeing 2 movies with high potential being mid but i hope after few years everything would make sense .

The new MCU fans are having a problem with everything, but a person like me who has been a fan of marvel since phase 1 knows the reality. I remember when Thor one was criticised people used to say that Marvel will fail, it won't be able to make it's own cinematic universe after that Captain America the first Avenger was another critically unsuccessful film but....... We know what happened after that The Avengers was released & it became one of the best MCU movie of all time, marvel always had some flaws no one in this world is perfect but they know how to bounce back. New kids are comparing every movie with Infinity Saga while they have forgotten movies like The Dark World & Iron Man 2 were also a part of it. Just wait for few years after that people are gonna compare future movies with Secret Wars & will say Kevin Feige is one of the greatest visionary of all time. These kids have no idea about phase one because at that time they were watching Doraemon they just don't know what a build up phase looks like. (Let me make it clear I'm not praising Phase 4 movies like Doctor Strange 2 & Love and thunder they are disappointing I'm talking about some blind haters who are just shitting replies of M-SHE-U)

I think what a lot of people are forgetting is this is the first phase after endgame, which means introducing new characters and their own personal stories and how they'll be incorporated in the next big event. For y'all to compare it to what came before isn't even fair because right now we're in the build up stage you don't just get cross overs and tons of action off the rip. I think one of the main problem with the new phase 4 heroes are as an audience we have not been able to develop any relationships with the characters. If you look earlier, we liked RDJ as iron man as a character, same goes for Evans, Ruffalo and Hiddleston from The Avengers, Black widow from iron man 2, Thor and guardian of galaxy in there respective movies. While now there is more focus on the powers and what they can do rather than the individual behind the power. Due to this earlier we can watch the movie even though writing was not good but for the characters itself, which in this phase is not the case. Another point is that, In the earlier movies along with the huge world ending problems characters had personal stakes or inner turmoils for themselves to fight throughout all the phases and it's there inner turmoils that drived the series to conclusion in endgame. Case in point iron man throughout had this guilt/ fear of making something so powerful which can end the world. Captain America has the arch of always chosing doing what's right over himself and due to which losing people he loved and felling not completely at home. Black widow's struggle with having no family and that's why she makes Avengers her family and her struggle to protect them from falling apart. Same goes for Hulk, Thor, Guardians etc. While in this phase there are world ending problems but the only real inner turmoil we have seen is of Spiderman and other than that it is in Shang Chi of Tony leung's struggle of dealing with the death of his wife and even he is dead. While there was Wanda but personally I think her whole obsession of her fake children rather than the real boyfriend she actually had doesn't connect with lot of people. These are some of the flaws which I think is the problem in basic story telling which Marvel should look into, otherwise it could easily loose a lot of its casual viewers who are not comic book nerds but more of a movie based audience and are not going to research anything other than what is shown onscreen. Which it has acquired over the years through good story telling.
