Inspired by watching boring Transformers action figure reviews, the ShartimusPrime youtube channel was launched in 2008. Engaging the audience with an edgy sense of humor while maintaining appropriate language for all ages, action figure collecting has never been this fun, and videos are posted daily! Unexpectedly, the channel became more popular for Marvel Legends reviews and Spider-Man, Avengers, and X-Men collection display videos. After a few years, the channel has branched out to review other figure properties aside from Marvel Legends and G1 Transformers Masterpiece. Hot Toys, Star Wars, Diamond Select Toys, DC Collectibles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dragon Ball Z, Attack on Titan, Godzilla, Evil Dead, and The Walking Dead toy lines have all been added to the roster of nearly 2,000 video reviews. Japanese import figures from SH Figuarts, Bandai, Figma, Square Enix, and Medicom MAFEX have been favorites as well. More recently, Kotobukiya Statues (including the very sexy Bishoujo line) and NECA Toys have become more prevalent on the channel. Being a big fan of movies such as Spider-Man, Batman, X-Men, Iron Man, Captain America, The Avengers, Evil Dead, Pacific Rim, Aliens, and other films has lead the channel in the direction of also reviewing movies, movie trailers, blu ray releases, and tv shows. News updates for 2016 releases and beyond are also posted. Audience engagement is a big part of this channel, with giveaways and fan mail being read publicly once a week in the PO Box Pick-Up videos. Impressive “Shart-Art” is shared via social media and included in the opening theme song. The audience is also kept up to date with any changes to the channel, along with recent comic book pick-ups, unboxings, and action figure hauls. Stop-motion segments punishing the popular meme of the Big Time Let Down Spider-Man close most of the comparison segments, and are compiled together for guaranteed access to patrons. Lastly, all figure reviews close with a slideshow featuring dynamic poses of the figure inspired by ACBA, with the added bonus of music performed and recorded by ShartimusPrime himself.

That's an excellent point. She was fully covered in the PS4 version yet that was the most sensual version of the character. You absolutely *CAN* have both its just a matter of writing and design.

Okay, I have to say that it was funny that you had a problem with the removal of cleavage but not with the complete bastardization of her character during her (thankfully short-lived) mob-boss era. She has gotten her classic costume back as well, so boobs for the people that want them and good characterization for the people that want it as well. Everybody wins.

I actually made this figure look more like a regular Black Cat by painting the fur lining white, and then taking the belt off, and painting the whip black. Sure, she doesn’t have cleavage but she didn’t in the PS4 game and she was still sexy. I think her sexiness can come from her attitude, which we would have gotten if Dan Slott hadn’t written the comics for so long. He sort of just butchered a lot of characters. Oh well, to each their own.

I don’t get why some guys feel “frustrated” and “disappointed” when their toys don’t have cleavage or comic characters are semi-nude. I passed on the last Black Cat because it was just too much. He’s complaining about the whole character itself which has been made into an action figure so he’s not just complaining about the figure, while it is an accurate and good figure to the comics, Shartimus doesn’t like the new character design as a whole. marvelite 6969 I wouldn’t quite go that far. He’s hating on the design of the character and applying those same criticisms to the figure. Whether you like the character design or not, the figure should be praised for accurately representing the look.

While he clearly doesn't like the design, and openly said as much, his criticisms for the figure were not entirely based on that. Whip. He's right. The belt should have been removable. As you said if its faithful it's all good. Well that's not being faithful. The belt is the whip so to not be able to remove the belt forces you to either have an unfaithful concept with her holding the whip or be faithful and never display with whip. Bendy wires is not a new criticism from Shartimus. Doc Ock and Omega Red got the same criticism. The choice for the non holding hand is just... why? The smile is just terrible. Not even sure what the game plan was there. Especially considering during the arc this design was from she was far more menacing vs her standard cheeky personality so the smile really isn't all that faithful to the design. Not saying she didnt have moments but if we're gonna get one head sculpt design a darker look would have been more appropriate. Finally even if your down with the less revealing aspect we're talking either some serious breast reduction plastic surgery or a terribly uncomfortable day in the suit.

I was able to take off the belt. The legs pop off easily for me. But you do have to carefully pry the belt off, my belt has a small tear from doing it over and over.

Now that I have the 2021 version. I have to say the design of this 2019 black cat was not bad, it was interesting. But they butchered her face, the expression does not match black cats personality, the smile is too cynically evil, she suffers from cross eyes, but I feel like this would have all looked better had they done the hair better. The hair is just not a good mold :/. What I hate is that this is literally just a black body, so they only thing they *designed* was the face which they screwed up :/

Good review. I think your a little to attach to the to her cleavage to make a true objective choose. I like the classic look as much as any guy( must not look down). This is a more modern design of Black Cat. The design is not the problem its execution of the figure that fails to convey the coolness of the design. Hasbro executed poorly on giving somewhat a very large smile instead of a smirk which goes well with the character and her trademark personality. There's has to be a balance between realism/ practically and a balance of sexuality in this modern era of fictional female comic book characters.
