Inspired by watching boring Transformers action figure reviews, the ShartimusPrime youtube channel was launched in 2008. Engaging the audience with an edgy sense of humor while maintaining appropriate language for all ages, action figure collecting has never been this fun, and videos are posted daily! Unexpectedly, the channel became more popular for Marvel Legends reviews and Spider-Man, Avengers, and X-Men collection display videos. After a few years, the channel has branched out to review other figure properties aside from Marvel Legends and G1 Transformers Masterpiece. Hot Toys, Star Wars, Diamond Select Toys, DC Collectibles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dragon Ball Z, Attack on Titan, Godzilla, Evil Dead, and The Walking Dead toy lines have all been added to the roster of nearly 2,000 video reviews. Japanese import figures from SH Figuarts, Bandai, Figma, Square Enix, and Medicom MAFEX have been favorites as well. More recently, Kotobukiya Statues (including the very sexy Bishoujo line) and NECA Toys have become more prevalent on the channel. Being a big fan of movies such as Spider-Man, Batman, X-Men, Iron Man, Captain America, The Avengers, Evil Dead, Pacific Rim, Aliens, and other films has lead the channel in the direction of also reviewing movies, movie trailers, blu ray releases, and tv shows. News updates for 2016 releases and beyond are also posted. Audience engagement is a big part of this channel, with giveaways and fan mail being read publicly once a week in the PO Box Pick-Up videos. Impressive “Shart-Art” is shared via social media and included in the opening theme song. The audience is also kept up to date with any changes to the channel, along with recent comic book pick-ups, unboxings, and action figure hauls. Stop-motion segments punishing the popular meme of the Big Time Let Down Spider-Man close most of the comparison segments, and are compiled together for guaranteed access to patrons. Lastly, all figure reviews close with a slideshow featuring dynamic poses of the figure inspired by ACBA, with the added bonus of music performed and recorded by ShartimusPrime himself.

You know, I was never really that big of a Doc Ock fan and then I beat the PS4 game yesterday and now Doc Ock is in my top 10 favorite Spider-Man villains list. God damn was he badass in this game and I now wish Hasbro had given their Doc Ock fully posseable arms so I could re-enact some of the moves from the game.

I'm enjoying all your videos, and I want to help out the community. The tentacles that this Doc Ock comes with are 5/16" (.3125") in diameter. The specific kind of flexible conduit used in the LED lamps and then applied to Doc Ock are called "Gooseneck tubing". They're available in a variety of diameters, all measured in millimetres. The closest size is 8mm diameter. I'm still tracking down a supplier of unfinished gooseneck tubing for my own modification, but if one can get a hold of the 8mm size, then they'll be able to create tentacles that are the same diameter as the stock tentacles. The bend radius will be slightly larger, but that's the trade-off. I just thought I'd let you know. Every KZbinr I've watched for this mod buys LED lights or fans and breaks them apart, and nearly every KZbinr has commented on how much thinner the new tentacles are. So, here's a possible solution. If I can track down an economical supplier, I'll let you know. Keep up the good work Mr. Prime.

Oh, wow! I am STOKED to see The Rose in figure form!!! I remember reading Web of Spider-Man in the late 80s-early 90s and him in it! Then Blood Rose, too! I was thinking a week ago that he needs a figure. There’s plenty of suit bodies for Hasbro to use- Agent Coulson, CM Nick Fury, Everett Ross. Then a new head and some pistols, and you’re GOLDEN!! I didn’t even watch the other two I was so interested in him. I guess I should. -watched the whole video- I needs that Doc Oc!!

I purchased my marvel legends doc ock thinking that the tentacles were articulated. I headed home already thinking about the pose he would stay in, but when I opened him, I was hit with a wave of dissatisfaction and disappointment. So instead of the epic pose i dreamed up, I had him fight venom which wasn’t a bad pose, but then shartimus showed us that creators had made movable tentacles. I figured out how they were made by poundz (who made the big time spiderman) and ordered the USB lights on ebay for 1 DOLLAR EACH!!! As of now they are in transit from china but I will edit this when they arrive and I complete him.

Nice tentacles. I personally believe that at least 90% of all Doc Ock's suck haven't had a REALLY good one since secret wars... and that broke too easily. It's my personal opinion that any doc ock who CAN NOT REACH another character with his tentacles.... isn't worth having. I would prefer to have them actually grapple or clamp on Spidey or whoever... but WAY too many Ocks with tentacles that barely stretch past where he can reach with his fists... This one looks awesome.
