Danny tends to close his jacket, wear ones with those shoulder pipings, can be in a trench coat and always have spikes. Johnny tends to have open short jackets and can be drawn without spikes.

Danny uses a cool 80s-90s biker outfit while johnny uses leather stuntman clothes with a white outline in the torso, and also johnny generally doesn't have any spikes in his outfit
@brunocolin960Ай бұрын
Hi Anthony, Johnny uses a stunt performer outfit, similar to Evel Knievel but all black. Danny uses a biker outfit with the spikes and all. Problem is, after the Ghost Rider movie they started drawing Johnny just like they did Danny, making it absolutely confusing. I guess the only true difference now is Danny's bike always having that particular design.

It seems overpriced given that Toy Biz managed to give us a Ghost Rider figure with the bike included in that package for regular price. But then again Toy Biz went bust owing a fortune in tooling and manufacturing costs so maybe its good that people don't try to pack in that kind of value any more.
@suhtangwongАй бұрын
Ironically Toybiz (toy business) was for the customers, so much so that they went in debt. Hasbro (and all other toy companies) are for business, profit over customers. We need toybiz back 😢
@braydenpage1808Ай бұрын
@@suhtangwongyes, but going into dept is a bad thing for any company to do. And making profits off a product is literally never a bad thing and arguing that Toybiz went out of business but spending too much that they couldn't pay is a good thing is crazy in my opinion. Hasbro may not do things like Toybiz but they know they have to make profits because that's a company's first priority. And it honestly should've been Toybiz's too.

Great video Anthony, thanks for review. From what I have been able to gather is that Johnny Blaze wore a jumpsuit meanwhile Danny Ketch wore a leather jacket and spikes. Being a fan of both characters helps with these sorts of things. However this product being a part of the 85th anniversary line, a little more effort on Hasbro's part was expected. Some paint wash would have gone a long way on the costume's spikes instead of that Coca Cola tin silver. The head is too white for my liking - it looks bleached. Thanks for the review.
@puffpuffpassmakoАй бұрын
Nah he ain't that small. He's still noticeably taller than the AF Spiderman body. My best guess is when Danny transforms into Ghost Rider, the flames are counted towards his height because in comics I don't really see a height difference other than the flames making him look taller. So hes fine as average height. Also Danny wears the spiked jacket and grey jeans. Johnny is supposed to have a more stunt uniform that's all black. But after the movie, artists stopped doing their research and gave Johnny Danny's outfit from then on.

I love the fact that you are questioning the community... I'm with you on this, I don't see a problem with his size. I also like that as one of the more critical reviewers out there, you didn't fall into the backlash hysteria and automatically badmouth it (not that I think you would, your track record indicates impartiality) I do think the bike is a bit short, but I think that is partially an illusion of design, the sleeker styling makes it look shorter than it really is.

QOTD: Danny is almost always in this outfit while Johnny goes between a more stunt rider, think Evel Knievel, or standard open leather jacket leather pants usually w/out spikes except in volume 6 where he got shoulder spikes. The biggest thing for me is that Danny should be hench, he's almost always drawn with a huge upper body and I think that's why this figure feels small to most people.
@RebelxstudiosАй бұрын
Yeah I didn't consider him that short period because to me whenever I saw him drawn he was always around the size of characters like Daredevil and Spider-Man, not large and hulking like Thor or captain america.
@alejandrocaracciolo5975Ай бұрын
The original 1970s version of Johnny Blaze, did not wear leather. He wore a sort of blue jumpsuit which was reminiscent of what stuntmen like Evel Knievel used to wear at the time. In fact, he was modeled after that. Danny Ketch has more of a heavy metal influence in his looks, he takes more after all those 90s band that wore leather and had all that skulls and chains in their iconography. Think Judas Priest and Iron Maiden, rather than Evel Knievel. The confusion comes from the movies. In them, Nick Cage was supposed to be playing Johnny Blaze, but he wore Danny Ketch's costume.

Danny Ketch was mostly Drawn by Mark Texeira. (In a VERY distinct and cool style) His Jacket and upper body were WAYYY larger and buffer than this figure, and as you said, the head is too large in comparison to the body. He looked way more menacing and powerful than this figure. I also think the shoulders on this figure are way to small as usual for legends. When other artists drew him, he was almost as large and buff as well. Art Adams, et all. Johnny Blaze mostly had a form fitting leather outfit and was smaller. His head was larger in proportion to the body than Danny. I also think the shoulders on this figure are way to small as usual for legends.
@obi-onekenerdiАй бұрын
I’ve always liked how Danny Ketch has been drawn. And this, is not accurate. He looks very shrimpy and small when in the comics he’s a big guy relatively speaking. This figure doesn’t look heroic enough or anything really.

I'm still on the fence about this one... I won't come cheap where I live and I already made a custom figure I'm very happy with so it comes down to the bike and it does look cool but not THAT much better than the old one. I mean yeah it has spinning wheels (which won't ever be used) and very cool flame effects but it looks way too cheap in the way that it was made... plus I do have 2 of the original ones and one Baroness COIL bike that could be used for a custom... I dunno... Also: 'let me show you my package which is bigger than usual but not overly impressive' That's what she said 😂😂
