I saw a guy take a NECA Thailog and put Blackheart's head on it, and it looked pretty great. This guy, as-is, really needs a pop of paint to accentuate the surface detail. The binding joints and gumminess is a Hasbro thing lately... their Classified figures have a lot of this.

Looks super cool but the articulation is really disappointing. I ended up popping the tail off because I found it more hindering than anything (it's just held on with a square peg and a little glue) Edit: I like the weird and spooky side of the marvel universe so I was actually pleased with a lot of the character selection in this wave. Execution left a bit to be desired

I'm old school Marvel comics fan so "Strange Tales" refers to something completely different than this wave. Such as yourself, the only character in the wave that garnered any interest is Blackheart. The Dracula figure is one of the best that Marvel has put out this year, and the Lilith is a great figure in the wave. The rest are not that great though - so it might be worthwhile waiting for them to release this Blackheart as a standalone figure.

Does the figures feel cheaper to you? Moon Knight and Storm mostly and more so Moon Knight his plastic feels different and softer, on Blackheart his arms are kinda stiff at the shoulder on mine would barely socket lol.

I've seen some people just getting the head and taking a spare/junker movie Venom body to do a custom with. Would need to drill into his ass for a proper tail, but it'd be better than having to buy a mostly mediocre wave for a proper MvC Blackheart. Considering you probably want to repaint the whole thing anyway, and the movie Venom body can stand well and handles better...

10:15 There's the rub. I might as well just 3D print a Blackheart and considering this is a BAF, it'd not only look better but cost me *less* too, even factoring in paint. Sometimes watching the articulation segments of Legends reviews looks like Gordon Ramsay eviscerating restaurants in Kitchen Nightmares; the ones where the staff evidently just don't care anymore.

There should be a point in the production process where they experiment and check for QC issues and then refine them, there's either some kind of agenda or they don't scrutinize the products enough. Incompetence either way, so you all should petition and form a collective.

I couldn’t have cared less for most of the characters, but I’ve been wanting a Dr Voodoo, Helstrom and Moonknight for a bit, and Dracula will serve as a great duelist to my blade figure that I didn’t really have anybody to have him fight in my display. On top of that my old toybiz blackheart came apart years ago at the hip so this is a welcome touch up in my personal opinion

It's a weird amalgamation of digitigrade and plantigrade since his heel is still way down at the bottom...kind of looks like he's tip-toeing, so I think having the legs straight would be fine.

My Blackheart works fine except for the right shoulder. The peg will not go into the body, and the right shoulder joint will not move whatsoever.

It irritates me that hasblow released this as a BAF. They know people want him so it makes sense to try to make people buy the wave to get him, but its frustrating because I think most people don't care about the wave at all. Dracula is kind of cool looking, but not something I would normally get. The others I couldn't care less about. Really frustrating. I'll likely pass on getting this unless I can get individual pieces for a good price on ebay

Hey Anthony, my blackheart doesn't seem to have the "Kungfu" waist issue that is on yours. Maybe it's just your copy. You could get a second torso piece on its own to solve that issue

The only one that's a cool IDEA is Hellverine but how in the hell did they make a new, BETTER, buck for Logan and just refuse to use it. it was the perfect opportunity to use that one off mold for a one off version of wolverine.

The fact that a lot of this body was resculpted from the movie venom body was a weird choice. Makes this one look off, while the butterfly joints just make the “new” movie venom release look bad. Hasbro was planning on releasing these around the same time, and they couldn’t have added the butterfly joints to that mold when it’s the same thing with some slight changes? Hasbruh

Possibly a hot take, but honestly I feel like the whole BAF idea just needs to go away entirely. It’s just a gimmick to get people to buy the whole wave, and I’m sorry but a lot of these figures/characters suck so hard that yeah, no I’m not wasting my time/money buying garbage just to get one character I may or may not want. Some of these BAF figures could be normal releases and the larger ones could just be deluxe releases.

I totally agree. I've always thought it was a gimmick originally made for kids to convince their parents to buy them toys of characters they didn't want. I had a friend in elementary school who really wanted the Sentinel BAF but he didn't care for some of the characters. So he sold me the Spidey from that wave and kept the BAF piece. Even as a six year old, he knew the trickery involved with BAFs.

I don’t understand why this was a BaF and not just a regular release. It’s about the same size as the movie venom figure which was a regular release. Also, the gummy joints on this figure are inexcusable, especially in 2024. It’s almost like Hasbro wants you to break the figure so you will have incentive to keep buying more as they break, because for whatever reason Hasbro thinks we have access to Elon Musk’s bank account.
