Marvel Legends Mr. Fantastic Walgreen Exclusive Fantastic Four Hasbro

I was never the biggest Fantastic Four fan but there is just something about getting a team near completion. I skipped opening Human Torch until getting this Mr. Fantastic, but both along with Invisible Woman and an older Thing look pretty damn good.

This was the first of the Walgreens-exclusive figures I discovered, the first time I learned that Walgreens carried high-quality action figures at all, let alone had exclusives, and the first of many, many Marvel Legends purchases that got me very seriously invested in buying toys than I had been in years. I was already waist-deep in a Fantastic Four mood as it was, so I couldn't have been more excited to pick up it and the rest of the team.

I picked one up on eBay, and an hour later, see two at my local Walgreens... Not wanting to wait a week and a half, I grabbed one of the Walgreens ones, and that proved to be a good investment, as the one from eBay had a broken left foot. Well, I say broken, but the hole that's supposed to allow for the foot to pass all the way through the ankle, wasn't cut out. And, I'm about as good with tools as your standard garden pebble, so any home repair wasn't happening. All in all, I'm glad to have him.

darthalba I can most definitely understand that... I don't think it was through any fault of the seller, as the figure box was still sealed. My run of good luck on eBay has far outweighed any bad luck. As long as you avoid Chinese sellers (usually denoting counterfeit goods), and the listing explicitly says the item is in-hand and brand new, and/or unopened, you should do okay. Cuz, even if the figure is damaged or not quite right, they have the money back guarantee. It all depends on how you weigh any potential risk that's involved.

The Marvel Select, The Thing is my favorite due the realness rather authenticity of it. Looking forward to purchasing Reed and the rest of the FF soon. But they need to make an alternate Human Torch.

I’ll probably get a tomato thrown at me. But my favorite Reed was the movie Version. So many body accessories. One arm super long?one leg short ?whatever you wanted. Could even go from thigh to boot reed if needed. Finger articulation. Just a fun figure to play with.

I guess most people's connection with reed richardsis that he was the marvel universes go to guy for all things science . He showed up quite a few times in Spiderman comics to help him out or give him info on all sorts of things , even helping him identify the black suit as a symbiote.

Human Torch looks cool, but then i almost didn't like this figure when you comparing with Mr. Fantastic, he's supposed to look teenager, shorter than Reed, and a bit thinner like Spider-Man. Here, he look like either Jim Hammond wearing a F4 uniform to join the team while Johnny's on vacation in Hawaii or he worked out from the gym and ready to become the next Captain America after one of super villains killed Steve Rogers again. I'm REALLY wished they give Johnny ML Pizza Spidey body base, it would've been fit so much better than this BuckyCap body base. Overall, he looks alright. Great review on both Johnny and Reed as always, Robo!

Yeah, it's Torch blowing out the sizes. I would have also went for the 2099/Sunfire body. Something to thin him down a bit, plus I love the butterfly shoulders. Thanks man!

I think Mr Fantastic, Invisible Woman and Human Torch should have all been $40 two packs. Mr Fantastic could have had swappable arms, legs, torso and neck. Invisible Woman would have come as Sue Storm and as a completely invisible woman and you could swap parts to make her partially phased anywhere you wanted. Likewise for Human Torch, two figures one of just Johnny Storm the other fully flamed with swappable parts so you could just have flaming hands, etc. There was an older Human Torch from quite a long time ago that was done up all red with the black lines and looked just like the comic.

I don't have the figure yet, but I was assuming they went with the duck feet for added balance when using the bendy arms. Those have been great for getting the Spider-Man figures in lots of standing on one leg poses.

Yeah, but the added width is so negligible that I can't see it doing too much more than another foot. Plus those stretch arms are pretty heavy.

Love this review, I kinda feel like Reed's head sculpt is a reuse from Peter Parker's head sculpt from the 2-pack with MJ but they made some modifications on it to change it's looks, the eyebrow is what made me feel like it's a retool of peter's head sculpt but I don't know maybe it's just me :^

The different coloured head on the human torch is because it is just his head and not his suit, which is red. But I still feel that it is odd. But I still like the figure a lot

Younger =/= shorter. In all fairness, though, I believe that Reed is officially 6'1", while Johnny is 5'10", so yes, Torch shouldn't be head and shoulders above Mr. F.

The Fwoosh cool robo! Thx for the info. Sue and reed are really THE ONLY two characters in comics that I care about matching. All turtles can be different shades, Scott's blue doesn't have to match Logan's blue, I don't even care if the flashes are different shades of red(I just say this is wally, this is future Bart ect..) But reed and sue have to match. (I can even deal with Ben not matching becuase maybe his suit isn't unstable molecules)

It's a nice figure but I don't really care for the Fantastic Four. I watch the reviews because they're nice figures but I don't care for them. Especially Mr. Fantastic. To me he's insufferable Edit: Idk if who did the editing for the video but the little jokes and additions were perfect
