Hey Robo, my Age of Apocalypse Sunfire had the same annoying tuned in left foot. I popped it in hot water a few times and carefully twisted it the opposite way then ran it under cold water. It's much improved.

I wish we could have the 1980's John Byrne era Fantastic Four available. The white and dark blue uniforms were great visually. Just a classic run. And while I'm at it, I'd love to see some World War ll heroes available. Perhaps Liberty Legion's Patriot, Red Raven, or a Whizzer and Miss America combo? I love the Golden Age Whizzer but I'm not holding my breath waiting.

Love this figure we still need a normal Johnny Storm in the blue and black to go with the Walgreens wave. I know some use a Reed body with Johnny’s head but the body doesn’t match Johnny’s build he’s more athletic than Reed.

Honestly, the 'Pizza Spidey'/modified 'Pizza Spidey' body mold is is so ugly and is so 2015 & 2016, that it needs to be retired. Plus, the duck-like feet that 'Pizza Spidey' body mold has, I've always hated. And the modified 'Pizza Spidey' body mold is way too skinny for Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic. I feel like Reed should be on either the Sunfire body mold as well or the Bucky Cap body mold. We REALLY need a new Mr. Fantastic... then again, I'll just buy two of the powered down Johnny Storm's and use one for my Mr. Fantastic.

I bought the Sue and Johnny alternates, which is her invisible and him flame off. I am SO glad they gave us that option. I just said this in another videos comment section but he pulled out Sunfire and it made me think it... I need BANSHEE. The same way I bought the FF wave with the Super-Skrull and then bout this, give me classic Banshee in the green and yellow from Giant Sized and you can have him in his Gen X blue and yellow X-Men uniform and I'll buy both.

I applauded Hasbro on the duck feet because when your body is on fire your feet oddly enough stretches and gets longer. Strange how the body works. Plus I made that fact up. :) Great video.

PFTE Thread Seal Tape for thickenning the pegs from the Select Human Torch. PFTE tape is made of plastic, not rubber, and has no glue so you can remove it when you want to unmake what you've made. maybe you can modify the "lower torso" from Cannonball to make a base for this Human Torch.

Man I so want these retro wave Fantastic 4 figures, but I've vowed not to get doubles of any more Marvel Legends that I already have a version of in order to save money. With that said, whilst I'm happy with the last set from the Super Skrull wave these designs appeal to me way more, but whilst I could just sell those earlier ones I did a repaint on that Thing figure to add the brown wash and I love how it looks, not sure I'd be able to part with it. Eh, I'll figure something out eventually, great review either way.

We need a plain red with black stripes HT basically a red silver surfer without flame effects sculpted on the arms or head, and a translucent yellow kinda human shaped flame piece that will plug in his back so it gives the illusion of flames around him

Could put a small dab of silicone on that hand peg .. it dries gummy but is a solid hold and should be easy enough to remove if you want to at some point

If you want more range of movement in the elbows you can cut out a notch in the joint. That way it can move more before it bumps into the bicep. I don't have this figure yet, but it's worked on all my other figures on this body.

This will be used as a Jim Hammond/Original Human Torch in my Invaders collection. The older Toy Biz version I had been using will become Toro. This will pretty much give me a full Invaders team of Captain America and Bucky, Namor, Human Torch and Toro, Union Jack, with Peggy Carter filling the Spitfire role.

A pleasantly brief & concise review of a contemporary 1:12-scale action figure produced by Hasbro for their Marvel Studios, Marvel Legends: Fantastic Four (Retro) toy line. Applause! Now, @FwooshRobo it seems to me that one of us, both of us, have attuned to the same, or similar, head frequency. To exhibit scientific proof of this bold, albeit abstract, claim… all either of us need do is simply hum, nase, or whistle the hypnotic tune which continues its accursed, nigh relentless spin throughout our collective headspace… spaces? 9:10 Thank god we got Mafex 😌. They may not be perfect per se, but they make definitive versions. When I buy a Muhfex, Mayfex, Mahfex (pardon me) figure..I can rest assured I won't be stressed having to upgrade it every couple years.

Are these turning up in the wild? I'm only really interested in High Evolutionary, hoping he's not as hard to find as Ultron was. Kind of wild how many Marvel Legend waves are hitting at the same time. Ursa Major, What If, Eternals, & now Retro FF. They seem like they've come out very close together, and MCU TV didn't feel like it was that long ago either (I'm certainly still seeing that wave get restocked still at the big box stores) And I'm pretty sure AOA Round 2 is coming very soon too.

Great review. I honestly have never heard anyone in the toy community refer to that body mold as the "Scarlett Spider " mold. I do believe you got your Spiders mixed up. The figures everyone refers to when speaking of that body mold is Sunfire (so you are not the only one or the exception when calling it that, like the way you made it seem in your video, most people call it that) and Spiderman 2099 (the more contemporary looking one). 2099 and Sunfire came out around the same time and some people got one or the other wave first so thats where you get the split on what body mold to call it, but I do believe the 2099 did come out first technically. The Scarlett Spider you showed came later down the line, in fact I think there might of even been a figure or two that used that body mold after Sunfire even before we got that Scarlett Spider. Edit Update: I got curious to see how many figures between Sunfire/2009 and Scarlet Spider there was and here is the list in order up until Scarlett Spider: All-New All-Different Spider-Man 2099, Sunfire, Bullseye, Klaw (Black Panther 2-pk), 90s Deadpool, Astonishing Ant-Man (Scott & Cassie Lang 2-pk), Silver Surfer (Walgreens excl.), Kaine Scarlet Spider. Literally like 5 figures after Sunfire that came before your Scarlet Spider 😂. But you know what the real kicker is? I found the list from FWOOSH.COM 😂🤦‍♂️!

The paint on the flames is so gloopy. Other than that, looks pretty good. I love the idea of customizing a piece to attach his feet on the select base. I pretty much got the select version just to addon to this one when it arrives.

It works for a lot of characters (Spider-Man, martial artists wearing slippers, Iceman, etc.), but it looks really bad on characters that are supposed to be wearing boots.

The feet aren't the only problem either; many modern ML figs have calves that are bigger than their thighs and head from the profile view. I'm just not a fan of that aesthetic, much prefer proportions like the Bucky Cap mold.

I stand by what I said. These feet look like shit for characters who are supposed to be wearing regular boots (ex: Mr. Fantastic), but they're decent for characters like Spider-Man who don't wear regular boots.

Honestly, I still prefer the Walgreens Human Torch. I think even though it's more comic accurate, the retro Torch has always looked really silly. I would rather have a more "on fire" Torch. Too bad I can't find a Walgreens one.
