Initially after getting the Heat Claws Wolverine for $5 in 2022, I was thinking of getting some alternate hands that are silver. Now I'm content to have this new one be my definitive Astonishing X-Men Wolverine.

the reason the claws fidget and move is because theyre plugged in! it also lends way to replace them with custom actual metal claws. its probably plugged in so they can move and not warp in box. so all youd have to do is readjust them instead of heating them back into shape

This is now my new favorite Wolverine figure. My only complaint with it is the lack of boot swivels for easier posing but I gave it boot swivel and applied some shading on the costume and boom! This is now my definitive Wolverine figure

I always glue the claws in my preferred aligment, makes them look good everytime makes them sturdier, they almost always include regular fists anyway,

Sweet review, David. I have my issues with Marvel Legends most of the time. I got to admit, every now and then they hit one out of the park. While I didn't get one of these for myself, my neighbor got one and I had a lot of fun posing it for a half hour or so. Right now, I'm waiting for McFarlane's Cyborg Superman.

I'm confused about your frustration with EE. So they back ordered Superior Spider-man because they had lots of pre orders, but they got the wolverine in first so they sent it to you with no additional shipping fees so you didn't have to wait for both of them to be in stock? What's wrong with that?

Yeah that isnt a "mechanism" at all, the claws simply come right out, theyre hooked in pointed downward, not into the tubes on his gloves, to adjust and swap them. They didn't glue the shoulder pads either, theyre on an o ring wrapped around the shoulder peg, they can rotate completely independently of the arms, they borrowed the tech from the black series. Not trying to be a knowitall but it is relevant for people who are watching your review to decide on buying it. Speaking of which, be careful with the arms, because the biceps can rub against the torso, and the blue paint will scrub off, visible on the underarms

As others have posted, the claws are removable and the reason your claws are flexing is because they aren’t pushed in all the way.

I agree this is much better than the heat claw version released two years ago. What pisses me off is Hasbro could've released the right version the first time. Hate buying slight improvements of the same figure in the 1/12 scale.

This figure is so close. The neck articulation is extremely limited. I’d rather he had a neck hinge or even a notch and the lack of a boot swivel also really limits posing. Both of these issues are solved in prior Wolverine releases like the recent X-men 97 version and that version is also scaled better. He’s a tiny lil guy😹 Other than those complaints this is a great Wolverine. The recent output from legends has felt like a serious step up. The 85th anniversary stuff in particular all seems to be a swing for the fences with textures and details. I really dig it. Especially the Iron Fist who I can’t recommend enough.

unpopular opinion. I was strongly disappointed in this figure. The lack of hip swivel boot swivel was just absolutely unnecessary. Felt like a step back. I prefer my heated adimantium over my astonishing wolverine because his articulation is just so much better imo.
