This set should have been $34 - $39 at most. I can't see paying an extra $25 just for a base. Especially when they used to come free with the old ToyBiz Marvel Legends. Yes, I know this one is better, but not $25 better. There's no way it should cost as much as a fully articulated action figure. No, I think that the Juggernaut wave Phoenix with the upgraded head from the Cyclops / Dark Phoenix 2-pack still works just fine for me, thank you.

I hate to say it, but Hasbro dropped the ball on her. I just don't see Jean in that head at all. I'm going to get this set for the Phoenix accessory, but I've decided to go with the Mafex version for my Phoenix. I also don't like how they didn't sculpt the glove or boots at the tips. The green is also off.

14:34 the warbird calves are definitely different. It's more muscular and define. Look at how high and sticking out the calves are how much lower and flat the phoenix calves are. But do agree, idk why they would use warbird legs due to same boot cut.

This comment section is tripping. The Jean headsculpt matches the art on the box which is the way Jean has been drawn more recently. Also both headsculpts look better in person. Plastic feels premium compared to other ML

You’re not wrong about the hair. It’s not terrible, or even meh. It’s actually very well-sculpted. It could be a little more volume, but it is very minor comparatively. What I really hope is that they start a trend of making bases because the Phoenix is done so, so well. Just imagine Storm or Thor on thunderclouds like Toy Biz did for Storm back in the day. Not all the time. Just special figures.

The Phoenix shouldn’t have defined feathers. It should look like a living cosmic flame. The Select version is a more accurate version of how the Phoenix is represented in the comics.

A thing I don't like about marvel legends is why is the hair on most head sculpts waving off to the side yes sure if you want to get a cool pose but I think they should include a head sculpt with the hair in its normal position and a head with the hair waving but maybe I'm just a bitch complaining but other then that I think Hasbro is doing really well recently

I don't like the smile head, very meh and out of character, almost like she is MJ, even the hair length is wrong. They should just use one head for this figure, that alt head increase the price in a nonsense way.

I went back and pulled up the old Uncanny comics to do a comparison and outside of the effects parts this entire figure is wrong. The face sculpts are 1) ugly and 2) more reminiscence of when she becomes Dark Phoenix. The green is wrong. And the sleeves/legs are ugly bare metallic plastic and the Phoenix symbol is painted Gold. In the comics it's clear the leggings and gloves are gold but the actual chest symbol is yellow. Outside of the effect parts and some wash in the hair sculpt the Mafex is hands down more accurate.
