Hi Anthony. Long time viewer here. After all these years, I find that the size comparison section should be a little reworked, because more than often when you hold the figures, they don't seem to be perfectly aligned, perspectives can be sometimes weird or we don't see their feet. Maybe a simple edited image with Darwin might do the trick better. But even then, I forgot the meaning of Darwin here, I know he's a bad figure and I don't own him, but is he still supposed to represent the standard ML size?

It's not a scientific thing. It's a practical. It's meant to show what the figures look like together. Absolutely precision isn't necessary, or even helpful really, since that's not how figures are displayed. No one has ever considered if Darwin is actually 6mm or 7mm taller than Wolverine (just an example... Didn't check the heights). Unless you never pose the figures and also only keep them exactly should to shoulder, you'll never see the difference anyway.

You actually can drape Doom's cape over his shoulders. I have mine posed with his arms crossed and cape draped over the front of the shoulders slightly so it looks full in the back.

Got it for the DOOM because my DOOM shelf never has enough DOOM! I’ll probably keep the Norman head and sell off the Iron Patriot. Task Master is cool for his skull mask alone.. I find it kinda wild he has a plastic cape tho lol but, yeah, an updated Doom even if it’s just paint? Ya got me.

Not only just paint, his skirt is shorter here and the head is a combination of a retro head with a modern hood, plus cape of course. His yellow cape holders are also different and look much cheaper, and his new paint is worse than the Super-Skrull one. Armor looks strange and doesn't have stripes painted.

I did get this one and was happy with it. I didn't have any version of any of these characters so it was a win for me. Only thing I'd would have liked to see is a wired cape. But I do like soft goods cape

Maybe, but it might be because they’d have to do a cape that’s both orange and white on either side compared to just having a one color cloth cape like they gave doom, so far, I feel like they’re starting to introduce stuff like this, and they’d have to probably work on it more to even give is a double colored cloth cape for Taskmaster

I always appreciated multi packs. It feels nostalgic to me. Plus I feel like hasbro could money grab a ton of by releasing multipacks of already made but hard to find for a decent price figures while mixing in a brand new figure or 2 in the same pack. Kinda like the doc ock and silk 2 pack. No one was upset about that because that doc ock was like $100 on eBay before that

The DOOM is nice but I still want something bulky and closer to the dynamic you get from a Kirby or Bucema drawing. He needs a wider torso and thicker arms and legs.

I’m still in the “Need major characters before I get obscure ones” phase of my Marvel Legends journey and the thought of a $75 multipack being the only way for me to acquire a $25 Dr Doom figure is driving me nuts. The Taskmaster is great too but not as high on my list as Doom and the Norman Osborne means nothing to me when I still can’t acquire a comic accurate Blue and Red Spider-Man for my shelf without paying $100 for an out of print multipack on the second hand market. Norman is just too specific a version when I’m still struggling to cover the heavy hitters. He looks like a great fig though. Honestly, this multipack thing is becoming a major issue. Every character I really want ends up in multipacks with stuff I don’t want. New Punisher? Multipack Iron Fist? Multipack Sabretooth? Multipack Green Goblin? Multipack Daredevil? Multipack Basic Spider-Man? Multipack Symbiote Spider-Man? Multipack

@@seldetablefin Oof. From what I understand finding some of this stuff outside the US is basically like winning the lottery in some places and come with hefty markups. I feel for you brother. The Spider-Man one is especially odd to me cuz he’s one off the most recognizable characters on earth with a constant stream of content but the figures that come out are all weird, one off versions of the character or variants. When they finally do a great, classic spidey they put ‘em in multipacks in limited quantities. There’s no reason a normie shouldn’t be able to easily get their hands on a red and blue Spider-Man for retail. Or Daredevil. Or Hulk. Or Thor. Or Storm. Or Captain America…..

I think the last red and blue, single-card, available at retail Spider-Man was Retro 2020. It's crazy that we've gone from Spidey figures being unavoidable in the early-to-late 2000s, to almost never getting Spider-Man figures

My little brother got into Spider-Man legends around then and we were able to find him one eventually but he was literally collecting goofball variants like Japanese Spider-Man and Bombastic Bagman to get his Spider-Man fix cuz those were the only easily available options for collectors to get something named Spider-Man. I don’t get it. Does Spider-Man not sell toys? They ALL sell out😹

I understand your frustration. Wait about a year, and you will likely see single releases of figures you're wanting. I came in around the anniversary waves for spidey like the AF spidey and RYV spidey so i was lucky in that regard. Its just a waiting game till these things come out.

Anthony, for me the main pull was Taskmaster( almost complete weapon storage and a sick head sculpt), then Iron Patriot (great head sculpt and accessories), and then Doctor Doom(clothe goods cape and an army builder?). As the Cabal it is an addition to the Bring on the Bad Guys wave in my opinion and welcome. Exceptional review ✌️

So I neen sitting on this one and unsure. And you sir are the reviewer I waited for to do this. Most of the time I agree with you. Sometimes I don't fully, yet even then you make good points I can't argue with. I comes to the point that if it gets an 8 to 9 score it could be a good buy. 7 is a maybe. when you score six and below, I consider the passing of it. You scored Mister Fixit Hulk low. I sadly watched that video a week after getting him. And it was very poorly done and if only I had watched your review first.

Thanks for your efforts on this one Anthony. This 3-pack initially was to be a 4-pack w/Loki yet for some reason Hasbro held off on the Loki. Perhaps they were intimidated by the price tag infuriating collectors. Not in the need for any of these figures, I decided to pass. By Odin's Grey Beard that unmasked Iron Patriot looks like a meth-addicted bath toy without any paint on it.

Is it just me or is this Doom's ball-jointed feet better than the prior versions? I literally had to heat mine to get the prior two versions (original and Retro) to get the ball joint to articulate. This one I had zero issues with out of the box.

Got it for Taskmaster, another DOOM is another DOOM with a cloth cape that I like and while I like the character and design this Iron-Patriot looks cheap (Though I think the shoulders can go higher)

Ok Im guilty of stupidity when it came to this pack.....Im a big Taskmaster fan and this buck is an upgrade from the old buckycap buck and I like the Doom softgoods and shorter tunic so he can sit....if I can find a throne for him...😂...I was a little disappointed that they didn't paint the armor straps like they did on the first one....I did but shouldn't have had to and if Doom gets the fabric cape why not Tasky? Id have paid a bit more for a nicely done cape for Taskmaster....Iron Patriot is a nicer figure than I was expecting especially that unmasked head which looks great on the darker more modern green goblin figure thats now so old that I don't know what wave he was from but that's a bonus so all in all a great three pack of figures with no wasted super obscure characters that no one asked for.....I am pretty happy with it

Q of the Day: I passed on this three pack. I have no interest in Iron Patriot, and I already have Doom and Taskmaster. Marvel Legends is becoming like consumer electronics. No matter how happy you are with your purchase, there will be something better coming out a few months later. I’ve finally reached the point where I can live with that and save my money for characters that I haven’t already purchased several times, be it from Marvel Legends or any other line out there.

You really need to apply heat to get movement out of Norman's shoulders, feel like they should have either made the shoulder armor out of a softer/thinner plastic or just implemented how it attaches differently. Norman reuses parts from the recent Extremis armor Iron Man, but gets new pieces where needed, like the upper torso and thighs and shoulder armor. I'm really hoping someone does up a higher-quality wired cape that is compatible with this Doom. I had the Super Skrull wave Doom already, that one has a slightly better armor sheen and the straps and buckles are painted, but I preferred the shorter tunic skirt and more classic mask on this new one, so I just swapped the armor limbs from the old onto the new body, best of both worlds.

@@DeadpoolXI1 not at all, I just heated up the torsos on each, pop him apart at the waist to swap the legs, and popped the arms out from the torso, and switch out the arms, very easy to do, relatively speaking

@@DeadpoolXI1 the torso on Doom is a solid buck of the softer PVC plastic, so it can just be heated, I used warm water, to soften it up, and the waist ball and the shoulder pegs can simply be popped out from the torso. I wouldn't recommend trying to pull things out without heating first.

@@AnthonysCustoms I am not going to agree with you on some things. I still think pinless arms and legs are better. More straight arms and legs. is articulates better. Agree with you the colour is indeed a problem. But still lesser problem than the pin joints. Stiff joints are solved with hot water. My figures don’t have that problem only the pin jointed figures.

The worst part about this set is that it's now even harder to scalp people on eBay with the Super Skrull Doom. At least it'll retain some value because that version's cape isn't garbage.

Other people have said it in the comments before, but it really stuck out in this review. Anthony seemed overly nice in this review (I'm not saying there's ulterior motives). Anthony from a months ago would've been way harsher towards this. That it's just a re-released Doom with fewer accessories than any other Doom released. That Norman looks like a Happy Meal toy with no substantial accessories. You did go into Taskmaster a bit more relative to the others, but it's still not enough. Also, you didn't bring up the price point. Again, I'm not saying there's any ulterior motives, but it's unsettling how friendly you've been with reviews lately. And also promoting figures on Community posts with BBTS link. I know you would never stoop to the levels of Shillimus Prime, because that's a pretty low level. I trust that you won't. But I'm kind of missing the super critical, spicy, sarcastic Anthonyscustoms reviews.

I'm objective. I'm not going to say things are bad if they aren't. This isn't a bad set for marvel legends standards. I explained that in the video. Being another Doom doesn't make it bad. It's one of their better figures. The Iron Patriot is probably the best modern Iron Man sculpt to date. Showing people when things go up for pre-order isn't shilling. This is an Amazon exclusive.
