5:39 It's one less hinge or dumbbell. They probably did it to save some money so their CEO could collect a bigger bonus. With X-Men '97 Jean not having a diaphragm joint, -and I think Last Stand Spider-Man also has a connected neck and head- , it's like they're slowly giving us less articulation and seeing if they will still sell. Similar to how Black Series phased out double joints and are now getting rid of the thigh cut.

Black series did it well since the articulation is much more premium and subtle, I think the 97 jean grey looks really good, personally prefer the ball joint hip instead of the mid cut in the female figs.

I think the neck is set up that way because it looks cleaner with the suit body.

I think it's so customizers don't use the suited body as easily for another character and how to buy other suited bodies lol

I thought they did the neck that way to allow for kitbashing. If they keep releasing this body mould with the head and neck combo, then you should’ve be able to switch heads and hands and not have to deal with the neck being a different color

I Hate the neck set up with a passion. Why?? They would sell more if they neck as a traditional ball joint or dumbell set up for customs. Doing it this way means its harder for a customizer who would just repaint neck joint and swap hands. it made sense for MCU Talos because neck was green skin but tombstone has same skin tone for both heads.

Good review. I compared my old Tombstone to Herald Thor similar to your side to side shot at around the 9:15 mark and the new Tombstone should be the same height as Herald Thor or just slightly taller.

Just an idea, and I'm not saying that was the reason, but have you already tried to put the Red Skull head from the Xemnu BAF on it? I remember that the neck of that figure can also be removed.

good review bro just got hammer head on clearance, he s nice the funny thing is, I don t have Spidey... I have Punisher... and Tombstone will make a great match, he looks fab! the articulations make me want him on clearance, he hardly kicks or bend when hit in the belly I like to punish with hard knee hits in the belly! most villains can t stomach Punisher s wrath, he, he I d really like to get a decent og Kingpin now I m looking at other lines for henchmen, like wrestlers dressed for the street Electro, Mysterio, and green Goblin, all og are on my list Cap Am and iron man need action too so now you know... good show bro

I really like this figure and I'm definitely pick it up. Crazy about the next situation. I really wish the neck was attached to the body. But other than that I think it's perfect fine. Again I wish you had more articulation in the chest or ab section. But however again it is a suited body figure and as we know the other suited body figures there isn't much articulation in those areas.

It's a cool looking figure that I had to sleep on due to not having a FT gig at the moment. I was really hoping that you would compare it to happy Hogan and the new kingpin Disney+ figure just to see the scale. The new head sculpts look really nice as does the simple but small details on the shirt pinstriping

They could have included a gun for him and include an unmasked for the retro carded Ben Reilly Scarlet Spider but still, Tombstone does look very cool especially those head sculpts and he will go great with retro Hammerhead, the Rose and of course the crime lord himself the retro carded Kingpin, I don't even have him but great review Bryant.

Wow, that neck sucks. I think I'll just stick to the one I already have until I find this guy on clearance. He's not a $25 toy. I don't get why they didn't do what NECA does and have the head be a separate piece. It sucks to because yeah, the sculpt and paint apps look incredible.

It's so Hasblow can reuse the body for other characters. That way they only have to tool a new head instead of a whole new suited body every time.

The saddest thing I do not like about this tombstone figure and I have him. Is the jacket now in Spider-Man? The animated series tombstone didn't wear a jacket. He had on black cuffs on his arms and he had on a short sleeve shirt with a collar now. Honestly, I wish they had went with that model. This looks like they're trying to go more for the comic book style stuff as opposed to the animated series designs. What's a sad considering? They always wanna give you self shading to make it look like this series. So if you're gonna at least make them color like this series. Shouldn't you make them look More like the series? Less comic book and more animated show accuracy would be nice. I'm just saying, or is there a tombstone without a jacket and you can. I don't know, maybe give him. You can take the jacket off and maybe give him these short sleeve arms. I'm surprised they didn't consider that. I'm just saying he should look more like the animated series. He supposed to be based off of but again. This is probably just my thinking

Definitely NOT 90s Animated Tombstone, Idk why that tombstone is on the 90s card when the original “Hyperion” tombstone is closer to his 90s animated look, and the new one looks closer to his “into the spiderverse” appearance (minus the tie & suit color)

The way that buttons work is they are sewn into one piece of fabric and then loop through a hole on another. Because it’s the left half of the jacket that folds over the right half we can assume the buttons are sewn into the right side of the jacket. But the second button is very visibly on the left half. The buttons. Don’t. Make. Sense.
