And I would argue that one opinion, regardless of experience, doesn't equal education. It equals absorption of one person's opinion. And on the especially impressionable, that opinion may mean even more. Thus I stand by my statement. Critique is fine, but standing firm on enjoying what you like, that matters as well. If one notices things that may end up bothering them later, they can save their money and also send the message to companies to make improvements by not rewarding them with sales (and literally spreading the word about what stopped one from buying something can help them to make things that we might like better, people shouldn't feel desperately dependent, I've seen companies listen to people once in a while when people rally and state the issues they are having or problems they are noticing. See something, say something! If one likes something, can someone pointing out a flaw they don't like really do much of anything? I think this sort of information, observation, and opinion can help buyers make their decisions, it is really much more helpful to me than when people overlook stuff and are too forgiving when raising prices are involved and a multi-billion dollar corporation is asking higher prices for less well-crafted work, or is focusing on the wrong areas (according to some, who might end up the majority). Everyone should demand better work. Also, in these reviews, positives are mentioned according to the tastes of the reviewer. What do you think of this figure and do all the points mentioned in the review bother you or do you consider them easily overlooked? Would you like improvements or something else? Could you describe what you would change about the figure to make it better or perfect for your enjoyment? That is what buyers of these products should always publicize and broadcast, and sometimes those involved in making these products end up seeing these issues and working on them to improve the sales of the products.

When I look at this fig, IMO it is the perfect Wolverine from Marvel Legends. This shade of yellow fits very well and is clean, in a pinless sense. Even though it's from a cartoon, I still think it will fit in with the rest of the comic book version.

Never had a Wolverine, so this one is "perfect" For what I need Lol. I think I much prefer this somewhat "animated" look for the headsculpt than the hyper realistic one they did recently. But releasing wolverine not having an angry face should be a crime at this point.

There’s not many Marvel Legends that have the quality to justify it. This figure is pretty good and I’m still considering it, but only because after-market prices are even more exaggerated.

So far, the 3 pack wolverine is still my favourite, it has the right height, I like the accesories it comes with (battle damaged and logan head, fists, adamantium claws and bone claws) sure, the mafex has better articulation, but he's taller, more expensive and doesn't have enough accesories, I don't personally like Mezco's wolverine, the figure is taller, and the articulation in the feet is a problem, and still expensive, but i can't deny it comes with a lot of cool accesories. I don't think any company has released "The" ultimate tiger stripe wolverine figure. Marvel Legends sure as hell won't deliver one.

I wouldn't put it past MAFEX to do a 2.0 of their tiger-stripe Wolverine. One, a much-needed reissue, and two, they could just change up his claws and maybe add an accessory, make his shoulderpads less fragile, and he'd be perfect.

I don't care about pins, but I don't like the softer less detailed "animated sculpt" but I do like these claws and head. I've seen reviews say this color matches up with the first appearance from the Hulk 2-pack, if that's true, I'll swap the head, hands, and shoulder pads onto that more detailed sculpt, and that should give basically the VHS without the cell shading. And I can accept the doughier sculpt for a first appearance. Are the claw hands the same as the love triangle bone claws, just with different claws pegged in?

The first thing I did when I got this figure was add a light dry brush to the arms because the unpainted arm hair sculpt is weird and then I hit the yellow parts with a matte coat. I never picked up the previous Wolverine releases and didn’t want to pay EBay prices.

I get the impression with this figure, and character, especially that Hasbro just sets out to deliver an imperfect product. It's like they ask what people liked about the last Wolverine figure, do that here, and then introduce something else to mess it up. It's not like they don't want to deliver the definitive 90s Wolverine because they want you to keep chasing it, and thus, keep buying the character.

Haven’t gotten a Wolverine figure in a while so picking him up was a nice purchase! I like the subtle changes for this release, but you’re absolutely correct about charging more for reuse parts….especially parts that r almost a decade old (I think!) lol! And I was thinking the same thing about the an crunch. Ball pegs please!!! Other than that, I am happy with this one as a standard Wolverine on my shelf. I like the blue and the knees don’t bother me all that much, so, for me personally, it’s a win! 😊😊

This Wolverine of the whopping 3 I have is hands down the best Wolverine IMO, they all suck though, but I'm happy with this one overall. Fully pinless and nice straight claws as well the best head sculpts yet. The knees are terrible, but I still prefer pinless. I am tired of those huge feet though. Hated the VHS one enough to not buy it.

For me the coloring issue is the thing that drives me nuts the most! One release he's dark blue and pale yellow, then teal and lemon yellow. Before all the X-Men matched, and then they started doing this bright yellow and they didn't all match. If I'm looking for a "team dynamic", the love triangle is the best I can get right now. There's enough Wolverines out there to do an interesting comparison vid

Pinless objectively looks better. And I don't think the miscolored joints has anything to do with pinless. They have this same issue even without pinless. I've seen your reviews where it's the same issue. I don't understand why they don't adjust the color to take into count how the pigment reacts to the different plastic used and adjust accordingly. Example: if the thighs are red #19206 then the knees need to be red #19203 to compensate.

It can be done but since with pinless joints they have to use a different plastic, it's much harder. With pinned joints, you can use the same exact plastic. Easy match

Pretty sure they do this on purpose .So hasbro's can do something like this. 2025 new tiger stripe wolverine with updated ab articulation, 2028 new tiger stripe wolverine with toe articulation and updated head articulation. And you know if they do that for one costume they're going to do it for the rest. So by the end you have a army of wolverines. Which you could sell them as you go but Hasbro already got its money so that a w to them😂

I really do wish they’d get someone who knows anatomy and the specific characters to do the sculpts. I understand that it’s a problem with reusing sculpts but characters like wolverine have character defining features in their anatomy (Super Stocky, broad shoulders with defined delts, traps, and chest, wide lats and thighs to help the Dorito V taper, defined abs but chest and arms should be your eye catchers) I think the way the thighs are sculpted are a lot more appealing to me on this figure more than the chest and abdomen, just wish they were a little wider. With how cut and sharp his upper body anatomy is and how smooth and fluid the quad muscles are it’s almost like two different artists inked the same pencils.

I like the pinless look. I just don't understand why they mismatch the shade of colours. With visible pins, they're often at odds with the colour of the costume. Like red pins on Spidey's blue arms.

Depending on lighting the knees are noticeable, not so much in other lights. I took off the extra trunks on upper thighs. I also painted the hair on arms. I get the aim is new cartoon animation so it's a meh. I prefer the older boots. New thighs are good but only posed. Pinless is good are best unmasked head so far. What needs to improve is the waist and trunks. That waist swivel has to go, it's time to add ball peg to trunks to connect to abs for range and natural look. It's not just that they are holding back it's that they don't know. Let's enjoy Pinless for the time being. I would of given it an 8.

You go back and look at Chun Li from Jada and how the torso looks. Aesthetically. You look how it functions, how it feels, how you can pose. Then you look at Hasbro. The sole company on the market with designs from medieval times, from horse and carriage times. Ab swivels. Where you just twist the middle of the figure with ginormous ratchet steps, so you dont even get fine tuning. And you look how that crap looks, with plastic borders staring at you at the smallest twist. And you look at that fucking ab crunch. A rough, square cut in the middle of the figure. Why is this fucking company refusing to do things like any other company is doing ? Are they literally insane ? This feels like just petty for the sake of being petty. Also, for some reason, they kept the ankles which dont go forward, because of how the ankle is sculpted. The boot. Wolverine like to get in all sort of crouched poses where his legs are bent so you need the ankles to go forward, but this body mould never could. They put new legs on this figure, but kept the non functional ankles.

For the QotD, I don't really care about pinless elbows and knees, since you can still see the rest of the articulation. You can still see those big ass cuts on the ab crunch and the hinges on the elbow joints when looking at it dead-on. And Anthony has said pinless joints cost more to make, and knowing how cheap and greedy Hasbro is, we apparently miss out on paint apps and other stuff. Pinless joints look nice, but it doesn't make these Happy Meal toy quality toys look any less like Happy Meal toys

Yeah you went abit harsh when everyone seems to like the figure, I notice in a couple of videos you tend to do that. Which is fine, making the smallest nitpick looks like the biggest dealbreaker of all time lol. The Figure is problematic I agree, but I'd rather take this over the crappy cel shaded one, that one has an even more problem, it's night & day. The cel shade alone is a BIG turn off, now if it done good like Neca?, who knows. I can see the plus being the angry head, but even that has sloppy paint job.

I might not have even realized the things you mentioned had it not been for this careful review, so this has made me re-consider my pre-order. I'd like to see what other options might be available still, even from other companies if you have any of those. I would really appreciate it if other reviewers were the same with what they notice and feel, but sometimes I fear that people may be holding back for various reasons, which doesn't help collectors and buyers really, but your style of review really does. Anthony you're the only real action figure collector I watch and I really appreciate and take your recommendations in consideration for my purchases. Not enough people are so spot on or can give constructive criticisms like you, although sometimes I think you're too nice about the ratings of the Marvel Legends figure haha. He's supposed to the very Swarthy... they used to draw him like that back in the 70's. Very Hairy and "Olive skinned". Now (since the 90's) they draw him like a straight up white dude. They also used to make him very beastialy looking hunched over with Thick Demse Coarse hair.

I like the claws, I like the unmasked head- it’s a figure I couldn’t justify getting unless on sale as I have multiple wolverines that are as good other than the unmasked head.

I actually used some 91% rubbing alcohol to remove that "stubble" of his chin without damaging the paint

I agree...the VHS one is much better to me...I passed on this whole line...but waiting on a sale for Magneto just cause I don't have that character... otherwise this whole line just doesn't do it for me ...alot of people like it and thats great but I would tell them just wait for a sale... cause they will be going for cheap sooner than later 👌

Pinless to me only matter if it’s like the way most spider-man where the pin will be obvious on one side (ie red on interior elbows). Kind of glad I passed on this.

While I like the VHS one better too, this isn't the worst release they could've done. If you missed out, meh, it'll get the job done. Plus the VHS cel shading can be acetoned off, this can't.

@@AnthonysCustoms sure no problem, other than the arms not going up quite horizontal this one has better overall articulation compared to the animated one the elbows bend better than 90 degrees and the animated one didn't and this one almost does the splits the animated one barely 45 degrees everything else was the same. What about my comment doesn't make sense? There's basically no difference between the 2 figures so how is his one worse?

I mean Hasbro is never going to change no matter what anybody says, I hate it but in the end its just an action figure of some of my favorite marvel characters. Torso Ball joints are better but Hasbro and McFarlane have no idea how to properly implement them with proper range of motion.

The cartoon had the figure's shade of blue, not the box art's one. I like the figure better.
