Marvel Making A LOT MORE MCU Projects BUT There’s A CATCH

Marvel Studios is making a lot more MCU projects but there's a catch, not all of them will make it to the screen. Marvel Studios has said they're releasing less MCU movies and shows but a new report tells us that Marvel has a new system in place for their studio and now they're making more movies and shows but not all of them will make the cut and make it to the big screen or silver screen. With Marvel phase 6 and Marvel phase 7, we'll here many projects that are in development but not all will get made however, the characters will still debut in the MCU.

i have no problem with them announcing serious projects. It seems to me that Wanda deserves a solo movie. WandaVision and MoM were successful projects. There are still interesting directions to take her character. However it should not be playing second banana to kids. There must be someone who can write a decent story for her.

That’s great news, I like the development approach! I’m pretty sure everyone understands WOKE for what it is. It’s not misunderstood and fans hate it. Fans want to escape into movies not dive into politics.

Fans don't hate politics though. Winter Soldier is possibly the most political entry in the MCU and fans loved it. But we haven't seen the same quality as WS recently. Other than maybe Guardians 3 and its animal rights subtext, which was pretty good. That's the problem. Films without any sort of message often fall flat, exactly because they have nothing to say. You just get a dumb "muscle man clobbers bad guy" movie with no depth. It's bland and boring. That's how you get Ant-Man 3. It's not woke, but it's also nothing else. Miss Marvel also comes to mind, although that wasn't really political but rather cultural. The story was baaaad. But the cultural and historical stuff was perfect. It's just that the villains suddenly went from manipulative to aggressive, even though they were slowly winning, and then got an unearned redemption arc. That was bad. But the shows messaging was the one thing I did enjoy.

This will be just worse than what we already have. Sure it would give closure to unfinished storylines but I don’t care about those storylines and I don’t want these other characters to derail the movies and steal the spotlight from the actual title character. I come to a Dr Strange movie to watch Dr Strange, not be advertised Disney plus. They used to save this for post credit scenes like Wanda and Pietro at the end of the Winter Soldier. If you’re going to combine many storylines into one then do for an Avengers crossover I don’t want to see the Eternals in Spider-Man 4 for example.

I think I potentially like this idea. mostly i think what i like is the failsafe idea for stuff that doesn't get developed officially. in the event the main developed project notes don't get used, they can move the characters and ideas to other projects and combine them to other spaces and projects where they would. not sure how well this will work. but i hope it does. curious to see how it plays out.

Another good thing about combining several minor characters into a bigger ensemble movie, is it gives that character more time to find an audience. Wolverine was just ONE member of the All-New, All-Different X-men that debuted in Giant Size #1, but his popularity brought him to the fore-front. Ensemble movies are perfect for "testing the waters" of otherwise minor characters. Hope they do it....
