Rodney doesn't have a "how to" video, but there are several out there by other people. However, you can do a how to on the basic game play, the variety of cards makes it difficult for a complete overview. I've played over 80 times, and I'm still asking questions in the game.

RODNEY!!!!!! This game has been on my acquisition list since I found out it was being released. I love Fantasy Realms but only came to know of it because of my obsession with buying Marvel-themed board games. The same thing happened with Smash Up--I didn't have any interest in Smash Up until they announced a Marvel Smash Up expansion. I went out and bought Smash Up to prepare for the Marvel Smash Up release. I did this same thing for Fantasy Realms--I bought the game and its expansions to prepare for Marvel Remix's release. Anywho, now that I've calmed down from my geek out moment, I'm glad you did a video on one my most anticipated games this year. 🥓🥓🥓🥓🥓🥓🥓🥓🥓🥓🥓🥓🥓🥓🥓🥓🥓🥓🥓

I do my best to answer all rules questions on the games I cover, but I avoid individual card effects, as that's a level of detail beyond what I can manage across all the videos I do. I'd suggest checking the rules forum for the game on BoardGameGeek or the publishers website. I hope you can find your answer there - have fun playing!

With a card like Worthy, is it refering to the "Base power". So in your example, if ultron doesn't have additional tech symbols and is -20, does that negate "worthy"?

One question. If it says “unless with” what does it mean? For example, the HIDDEN LAIR on this video says “Blank a villain unless with two or more tags.” Does it mean you should have less than 2 tags to blank a villain?
@WatchItPlayed Жыл бұрын
Hidden Lair will blank a villain... unless you have two of the tag symbols it shows, in which case it WON'T blank the villain. So in the example shown in the video, if I had just those 2 cards, then I could have Hidden Lair blank Juggernaut. If I had other cards that included 2 of those eye tags, then Hidden lairs effect would stop working, ad Juggernaut would not be blanked. Hope that helps.

@@WatchItPlayed dang. Seems a bit unfair in a six person game.
@WatchItPlayed2 жыл бұрын
@@richmccann2052 You might be surprised - with the higher player count, more of the discard area will be built up when it comes to later player turns, and it is more likely they will take from the discard, rather than the unknown of drawing a card, which allows for multiple turns. Or did you have something else in mind?

BTW, it sounds like the blanking effects could lead to an infinite loop in certain situations. For example, if A can blank B, B can blank C, and C can blank A, then maybe you have A blank B, then C blank A, negating its effect so B is no longer blanked, then B blanks C and unblanks A, and repeat. Do blanking effects work like this, and are there rules for such a situation?
@WatchItPlayed2 жыл бұрын
If A blanks B, then B can no longer blank C, because B has been blanked. So that would end the loop you are describing. I think this is also addressed here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iHKWYniuaLpng7s
@KnakuanaRka2 жыл бұрын
@@WatchItPlayed That's not what I meant; I had A blank B, then *C* blank A (and undo A blanking B), then B blank C, etc. If you're familiar with Magic the Gathering, it's similar to an infinite loop involving three of Faceless Butcher or Oblivion Ring.
@WatchItPlayed2 жыл бұрын
@@KnakuanaRka Ah, I think I see what you're saying. I haven't come across a situation where that happens, so it may be that there are not combinations (in this game) that would create that.
@KnakuanaRka2 жыл бұрын
@@WatchItPlayed Yeah, I guess it's more a question about blanking and card order: if a card is blanked, can it be un-blanked if the source of the blanking is removed? For example, there could be another paradox if a card has an effect like "Blank a (type) if with (tags)", and the only card of that type also had the needed tags, so blanking it would cause the tags needed for the effect to no longer be there.
