1:09:14 OMG Jesse, you unlocked one of my core memories of WOW PvP (Late Vanilla/Early BC). I played Alliance-side on an RPPVP server, and literally no one would ever heal in pugs so I ended up making a healbot Paladin 80% out of spite to show that it could be done. Around that same time, the smurf PVP guild (lv29) I was in on my Rogue had a day where our main healer (Holy Priest) ragequit out of healing after getting super tilted, and then my alt suddenly because the main healer for the guild. I had a great time with that because once they implemented matching based on queuing party size we ONLY matched up against Horde premades and smart premades focused the healer - which meant I had to balance my own self-preservation while keeping the team alive. That's what I miss about WoW. I never even got into the Outlands - just had three PVP toons for lv29 and one for lv39.

Aren't roosters good protectors? Like on a suicidal level. When not just have a male chicken around?
@FidgetThePepperTheGhost4 күн бұрын
@@sadesemolu in theory lmao but from having had chickens, more often than not roosters are best at being aggressive to potential rivals and those they think are weaker than them, often the hens themselves or towards small children. This does not always translate to being all that good at warding off predators, although their loud distress calls can be useful. However if whatever predator is nabbing the chickens is a stealth predator, there's really no guarantee that a rooster will be able to alert the rest of the coop in time if they themselves don't see the ambush coming. When we had roosters, at any sign of actual "danger" (being picked up for a health check, dogs nearby, etc) they would often hide behind the ladies 😂 This depends on the breed of course. I'm sure there are some chicken breeds with bolder and more aggressive roosters, but you wouldn't necessarily want those around children.

for a contribution on the MMR discussion. Generally the finding is that making the system more complicated tends to not make it more accurate, and may make it take longer to place you accurately. Thus you wanna settle on some function of just winning and losing, often including streaks as an indicator that it should be adjusting your rank more. If gmart was higher ranked and received more points, it may be that he is win streaking and generally holding a very high winrate, and thus the system thinks he's underranked, and is giving more points across the board to make his rank increase towards its current prediction of where he'll end up.

Regarding the sandwich conversation, it's always been fascinating to me how the default bread in virtually all Anglo (English-speaking) countries is the square Wonderbread-type stuff that doesn't even qualify as bread in most European countries. I'm living in Norway now, and that bread is hardly even sold at all, and it's labelled "toast bread", as in bread used for toast. Dad used to go crazy because of them to the point where we got geese and ducks and a couple of roosters to keep the growing chickens safe. So interesting to hear how foreign languages get taught to kids. Growing up with German, I know the language is very difficult to learn when it comes to grammatics. But at least almost everything sounds the same no matter the context. The only real silent letter we have is the H, which has a purpase too. Tho I think they've also started to teach more how the letter actually sounds than how you name the letter. Talked about this with a friend who studies history and Italian right now. Apparently a lot of the silent letters in English are just historic leftovers from Britain being conquered by different people over the centuries. So you got some Germanic, some Romanic (like French) and even when the spoken language changed, you'd keep spelling things the old way.

I have 200 hours in PoE2 and still haven't run into the same anxiety. It has issues with things being vague and the "early"(pre-L40) game being a bit dull in terms of available actually effective skills and combos. Currency drops are nonsensically low, at least for me. Monk is the fastest I've played, it's so easy. act1 was like 6 hours, act1+2 14h with a frost monk. I did have gear from my other characters (all sub-L40), so that helped.

POE2 advice for Jesse: First off the skills and classes are unbalanced at the moment, some abilities are just not feasible to level with and are outclassed by others. Hopefully by the end of early access with more skills and supports added and balance patches more skills are viable. With that disclaimer out of the way: 1. The most integral defence during campaign is elemental resistances, if you are getting 1 shot by a campaign boss's regular attacks chances are you have low resistance to whatever damage they're doing. Resistance on gear is good, runes can fill in some of the holes there, also can use charms if you're really struggling with a boss. 2. For attack users like monk and mercenary their damage scales a lot from their weapon which makes looking for weapon upgrades constantly essential. You can check the vendors in town and their inventory resets every time you level, that can help fill in gear needs 3. Generally speaking the strong leveling builds tend to exploit some combo of skills, many of the skills have been designed to be combod together, so one skill might electrocute enemies then the other does more damage to electrocuted enemies etc. So reading the skill descriptions and looking for those exploitable combos is the safest approach if you don't want to follow a build guide (which i dont think is as necessary as it was in POE1) I realise there's little chance Jesse actually reads this but maybe it'll help someone else lol, for reference I've got an ungodly number of hours in POE1 and POE2

@@TheBolondron the main point of my post was the early portion tbh,because jesse was unsure if he was just bad at the game and the answer is no the game isn't balanced super well right now. In a game as complex as poe the tools available to make it easier can not be obvious, which is why jesse has had a particularly hard time getting through early acts. If he wants to struggle and figure things out on his own he can continue to do that, I'm not imposing anything on him by writing advice in a comment he can ignore. There might be other POE2 players who are struggling with the early game and find the advice helpful.

I'm not concerned about that the skill level of the general Marvel Rivals player base will increase. Because I'm enough of a competitive person to mostly play competitive mode, and as it's ranked my opponents and teammates will usually be at my around skill level. So no matter how good I am I'll get about a 50% win rate. And I very quickly disabled all chat, so if people shout at each other or me doesn't bother me in the slightest. So for me Competitive mode is really just skill-based matchmaking with rewards and no downsides.

I am having trouble even playing with some of my friends.. one is a total drunk and not reliable. The other is a stoner and is just awful at every game we play. All he does is play video games, I don't understand how he remains so awful. 5th grade reading level though, admits that trying to read the tooltip screen for new heroes is too complicated for him and too hard to remember. He can't remember to use all his skills... But he always wants to play with me and gets mad when I tell him no, but if I play with him in this particular game it makes me rage like no other. I want to play rivals so much, I'm pretty good at it with any role, know multiple heroes and how matchups work, but nobody I know is the same as me and it makes it miserable to play especially when I try to teach or explain things to only fall on deaf ears.
