You can tell there's a LOT of love for the animation style. It feels so sleek and modern. A huuuuge step up from anything Avengers / Marvel Ultimate Alliance. This feels like a *lot* of art direction went into this.

@@eon001 They need a compelling enemy, honestly. They have alot of depth with their back history but it needs to come to play with a worthwhile conflict

I feel like Squirrel Girl doesn't work that well as a major spotlight character. Her whole thing is that she can beat any enemy off panel. She's too meta. And we already have an overuse of Deadpool (by my reckoning), so she'd have even less room to shine.

I feel that anyone that wants marvel rivals to do well also should want overwatch to still be around and not dead because you need competition otherwise they will become complacent and think they can just do whatever they want overtime since there isnt anything else to go to, which is what happened to overwatch, devs talked mostly about how what they do to the game is how it should be and now that there is actual competition the last few months all of a sudden overwatch devs are starting to focus more on what the players have been asking for, which is why overwatch needs to survive otherwise marvel rivals devs could easily end up in the same problem overtime

I don’t want Rivals to follow the same path as OW. Period. OW had its time in the sun and did great in some aspects but it crashed in others. There is more than enough room at the table for competitive games, especially when they challenge one another to be better.

@@jemglam I used to be a huge fan of Overwatch, actively checking their media page for new comics. But aftter the mounting frustrations with reworks and story progression slowing, the Blizchung ban scandal happened, and I decided a LONG time apart would be best for me, not to come back until there was good news. And there was just more and more bad news after that. Such promise and potential... Currently my ongoing game of choice is Warframe. Back to good old PVE.

This game is great and will find its audience and there will still be overwatch players. Just like every other overwatch killer before this. The game is improving even though it was a disaster for a bit with all the blizzard scandals and cancellations but its picking itself back up again imo. Both games will take up the hero shooter space for its own merits and player preference just like League and Dota does. No need to wish for it to die. competition is good for both games.

@@ashonline77 Yup, that's how I view it. There's space for two different identities of the same concept (hero shooter) like there was two identities for Halo versus CoD back in 360 era lol Saying it's killing OW is a disservice, even if I really am disappointed in the direction the game took.

Nice to see another December baby. My birthdays on Christmas day! early xmas gift for me. I've rewatched this trailer about 45 times today and each time it makes me think about how amazing the 90s was and how this reminds me so much of my childhood. Had a tear in my eye on how good this looks. Loved the beta, had withdrawals since but were close!

Thanks for the update about Psylocke. I knew that it’s not Danny, but didn’t know about Psylocke as I never got into her lore. It’s been too messy for my taste to really stay up to date with 😭
