This isn't a guide at all, all of the information in the video can be viewed in-game. The only relatively useful thing said here is the "wait for a straggler" advice. I haven't played too much only about 12 hours, but here's some of what I've started to take note of with Star Lord: -His gun spread. I initially picked him because I like playing Tracer, but for some reason I forgot about the spread of his weapon (probably because he can get some relative value from a pretty far distance.) What this video doesn't show is the insane ttk if you're standing right in front of them, the tighter the spread the better so play it just like tracer and get up as close as you can -The typical cooldown cycle you want to do, is the Jet Pack>shoot>Flip>shoot>flip (this flip preferably towards cover.)>Jet Pack out. You pretty much want to never manually reload and try to use your flips as offensively as possible (for reloads.) This is a game where cooldown cycles matter very much, people are going to animation cancel faster than you if you don't do something similar to this. -Throw in your E cooldown whenever you need a tad bit more dps to kill and you're out of flips. Or if you're just simply having trouble hitting the target because it's spiderman or something. The DPS on this move isn't so good, so it's only good for some quick pressure, you almost always cancel this cooldown no matter what you use it for. And needless to say, never get melee distance to anyone with it. -E cooldown your teammates when they're all huddled up. I know it sounds obvious, given it's an AOE move, but still. Jet Packing in and quickly hitting E and then canceling it fast enough and jet packing out before anybody can shoot you; can do well in dispersing everyone so then you can get back to focusing on people. -Use the Jet Pack in bursts. A quick off and on gets you a relatively safe distance without using one of your Flips, you can sort of treat it like quick tracer blink maneuvers. Star Lord's mobility is his biggest asset, remember that. Go crazy. -What the video doesn't show is using your Flips in your ultimate. Which is crucial. First, you should jetpack yourself to a favorable position where at least one person is guaranteed in your sights, and then you pop your ult and spam your 2 flips after emptying your clips. It's almost always at least one actual kill, but most likely two. I don't think I need to mention target priority (squishy targets, not tanks, healers first if possible) but yeah obviously important too -Go into a custom game and take note of where the healthpacks are. Just like tracer, you're going to rely on them a lot. This probably was a waste of time to type, and maybe there's more nuance behind what I've discovered of it's just somehow wrong but those are some of the tips I've picked up on myself so far. Don't really see people talking about Star Lord with him being what I personally find a pretty hard character, despite the game calling him an easy one.
