Marvel's Avengers has a fun and endearing superhero campaign, but it's tied to a loot-based endgame that's repetitive and unrewarding. There's a nugget of something cool here that Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix could foster with updates in time, but right now it offers very little reason to keep playing past the credits.

I was really disappointed with the “iconic” missions in this game. They could’ve been so much more creative. You could’ve had stealth missions with Black Widow, all out destruction missions with hulk, WW2 missions with Cap, Asgard missions with Thor and Air battles for Iron Man 👌

Spiderman ps4 was made in 4 years and it's a lot better than this game when it comes to graphics, gameplay, story, and the open world. I feel like marvel spent more time focusing on that game, and completely forgot about avengers and thats why we didn't get an official trailer until 2 years after this game was announced.

To be fair, Arkham City and Spider-Man only had three distinct characters each. They had to make every main Avenger and some of the DLC characters here, with each one playing uniquely. This game isn't worth defending, but that does explain why it's so unrefined.

From what they've said and showed It's already a lot better than this game. It's not a GaaS unlike this game. Has a fully functional open world which looks alive and vibrant unlike this game. The combat seems a lot more fluid and polished than this game. It also doesn't clutter your entire screen by filling it with characters the entire game can be played with single knight with optional co-op.The enemy variety shown in the 8 minute demo was better than the entire Avengers game where every enemy is a damn robot plus they haven’t even shown off Owls yet also it's DC so of course it'll be a better game.

Exactly what I was thinking. They held off the review and IGN was marketing for it all week with first few mins of gameplay and tips videos about it. But after one week they post there bad review about it. Had it been a game from a small publisher they would have posted the review on day 1. The other issue, is that likely they would have made it single player. Like most Play Station exclusive games. But an avengers game is meant to be multiplayer. I have all characters lvl 50. I enjoyed getting there but that's it. The campaign should've been extended to 30-40 hours and the looter booter system should've been scrapped. The campaign solo is 8/10.

At least with warframe sure some you have to repeat the same missions for that one item but at least they change it up a bit with different location and occasionaly those bounty hunts which keeps the game somewhat fresh

EasyRider912 nice! To be fair, I haven’t given it a fair chance since release. I was mainly looking forward to this because I wanted that co-op experience with the buddies. The beta just kinda turned me off a bit. It’s fun for a couple hours before it starts to feel repetitive... but again, I only played a couple hours online with friends and maybe two main story missions. I’m currently in the middle of Ghost of Tsushima so I’ll give it a fair chance once I beat that.

Upgrading your gears feels like a waste of time, you max one and three seconds later you swap it for another. Why is there a "gears safe" (I can't remember its name now) in the lab on the chimera? what do you need it for? Old, less powerful gears? I don't get it. And now I don't know now how to continue; all my missions on the war table are ticked as complete, except one that it wouldn't let me select as I am still not powerful enough to take it on. And yet in my missions objective I am still far from completing all the missions. What am I supposed to do?

For me personally this is the main game ive been looking forward to this year. Assassins creed games get boring in the open world, they look amazing but just go on to much. Cod is just an fps game, sure theres tweaks here and there but its the same game with a different skin each year. Cyberpunk kind of has to be amazing, it was teased 7 years ago but ill have to see more before I decide. Again personally for me avengers is my favourite game so far, before everyone starts kicking off cause i disrespected cod or whatever

I thought the fight was rather hard. Having my attacks be interrupted so easy and there’s unable to be stopped, or attacks that were unblockable an unavoidable, also shield that were impenetrable even with block break moves. It’s rather challenging when 5 or 6 AIM bots come at you at the same time that have moves that are unblock able an unavoidable with shields that won’t brake, and you die with 4 or 5 hits even on the easiest setting, and each time they hit you it takes you 1 or 2 seconds to go down while there hitting you again and again.

Mine keeps skipping while loading and during Ms.Marvels sequence the camera keeps going low showing her feet at most times and i have to restart my xbox most time when playing this.i never got a update yet to fix the patches in the game. Nice game and all but the glitches grrrr 😡😠

I wish this game had more replayability. 1. Campaign/story missions should be replayable. 2. Drop zones, villain sectors, and other kinds of side missions disappear. All the side missions should be replayable once finished. I feel like the game would be more fun if it were more replayable.

Tom is one of my favorite reviewers at IGN and he clearly put a lot of work into this one. @UCwucYrUdjz-ZzJMpwvJQwPA its not open world in the sense that you can just walk from place to place because that would mean they would have to make a map of the entire earth because missions take place at different points in the world, i personally don't think they're repetitive because you can do every mission with a different character and different supporting heros and EVERY hero has something about them that makes then individually fun to use, there is a pretty vast amount of different enemies that have their own difficulty. I personally love the game my only gripe is the few times when cutsenses were going the hero just disappears and is invisible but you just reload the checkpoint and it fixes it.
