Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is INSANELY Underrated | A 2024 Retrospective

Couldn’t agree more. Like you said, the writing and acting is top notch. I’m convinced that this game has the most dialogue between main characters out of any game out there. All this is from all the banter the guardians have. The game feels like just a bunch of friends hanging out. Yes the gameplay is a bit lackluster, but I think of this game more like a playable movie than a game.

For real man!! This is a game that shows that you don’t NEED stellar gameplay to have a great time in a game! Sometimes all you need to a good story, amazing characters, and AWESOME MUSIC 🔥❤️

This game was amazing, it sits on my superhero replay list next to the Arkham trilogy and Spider-man 1&2. I'm currently replaying at the moment (probably for the 5th-6th time). I really hope we get a sequel someday, I'm keeping my fingers crossed. We're getting an Alien Isolation sequel (great game, deserves a sequel) so I'm holding onto hope that the Guardians can get one too.

100% agreed! Between arkham city and the first spider man (2018) it’s in my running for favorite superhero games! Never lose hope, we are in the age of sequels and remakes, Im sure one day…we’ll get the sequel (also ALIEN ISOLATION IS THE BEST HORROR GAME!) that’s actually my next retrospective 👌🏾

Agreed with a lot of your comments. I just played this game and loved it. It's the story, the voice acting, and gorgeous visuals that really elevate the game. Are the actual gameplay/fighting mechanics kinda shallow? Yes, but they don't get in the way of the story. This is a wild ride from beginning to end, and as much as I'd love a sequel, I'm also grateful for what we got.

Why Guardians of the Galaxy works is just because it's story telling is similar with Final Fantasy games. If you think about it, this is just Kingdom Hearts gameplay
