@@mykebriscoe I have one for 500$ and it runs everything well. It's a laptop. Even then it's still even more worth the pc because the console price keeps getting worse and worse with the games. While the pc can give you massive discounts, old games like metal gear rising and it can run almost anything normally even with mods. But the PS5 pro is not good at all. 700$ for only two new features, one that no one cares and other that you can get it on pc easily. They don't even bring you a place to insert discs or even to put the PlayStation standing and thats already more than 730$. Maybe 800$ and in my place that I live they like to put the prices even more up. So for me is going to cost almost 2,000$ because the ps5 cost me about 1,400 or 1,600$. And thats the cheapest one

If you own a 4k gaming monitor or mainly game in 4k and can afford it. Then, it is an upgrade that makes sense. The only thing that is really "justifiable" is that 1 more tb of mem is about $50 to $100 and a 67% increase from a video card perspective. About another $300 to $600 plus. So, in reality we kind of are paying a lot less in the PC world. Which console gaming has come far to even being close to doing certain things and higher frame rates. Which is an experience in its own, and why most people will choose PC gaming over consoles to this day. One of the best gaming experiences to my imagination. Are 4k with 60fps on high graphics with adventure games and 4k 120fps plus on high with FPS games. Which the PS5 can do half of this. I was happy that they put 1440p @120. This was great. Until I actually got a 4k gaming monitor with 165 hz capabilities before I even knew the Pro was comming out. After doing my own research as a both long time PC and Console gamer. I decided to go with the pro as I do not have a powerful true 4k gaming PC at the moment. For me personally, it makes absolute sense.

I hate that I want the PS5 Pro. The benefits are great, but not enough to warrant $700 and that’s not even factoring the disk drive or stand prices. Why not just wait for the PS6 which will have all these benefits and more, but the ability to play my favorite games at both 4K resolution with 60 frames is just too enticing. And why wait an indefinite amount of time for a PS6. I don’t know, maybe I’ll get it, maybe I won’t.

buy regular ps5 if you don't have it yet or better yet, build a PC, that is if you value your money, ps6 should be at least 4 years away to be announced and lots of things can happen in the game industry until it is released. The thing is, the ps5 is not enough of a jump to maintain 4k60fps, sony already stated they will not require games to run at 60fps to receive the ps5 pro enhanced seal in games, developers will just take advantage of better hardware to be lazy and make games less optimized, so future games will run on pro like the current games run on regular. It is not worth the money and i recomend building PC even if you don't own a ps5 yet, most games are played on a PC and you can keep it until next generation, you can always keep graphics on low setings to boost framerates with more options, so even with worse graphics you will still be able to at least play games on next gen and it is cheaper to upgrade a pc than to buy an entire new console when next gen drops, you can do it in small steps instead of buying an entire new system, you will have access to mods to enhance graphics or performance, besides the fact a pc will pay itself in time just by saving money on games alone, steam sales are more frequent than consoles and it gets even cheaper than console sales on most games.

I mean, this wouldn't be an issue if the CPU was changed. To my knowledge changing the GPU didn't actually do anything tangible and the CPU is causing the GPU to be unable to run at full power. I'm not a tech guy though and I'm probably mistaking the the two PU's

The PRO is a big upgrade, but people are angry and refuse to see it. It’s really expensive, yes. But it’s running GT7 at 8k60fps. 4k60fps with ray tracing on gameplay. Spider-Man 2 fidelity mode at 60 fps. Horizon forbidden west and FF7 Rebirth look better at 60 fps on the PRO than their fidelity modes on the base ps5. And that’s all CONFIRMED. Stated by digital foundry and devs themselves. Furthermore, this is only the beginning. The tech will be even further utilized and future titles will leave the base model in the dust. But people will keep fooling themselves to justify their hatred. But guess what, the console is still cheaper than an equivalent pc, as stated by digital foundry. So it’s worth it. I feel bad about all the online haters, they’ll suffer so much seeing the base model left in the dust. All I have to say is: cry about it. Do like everyone else and save money to upgrade your hardware.
