I'm finishing up the Marvel Select Guardians of the Galaxy with Drax, who I skipped to jump to Rocket and Gamora, thinking he wouldn't be all that exciting. But he's got a pink ax. A PINK AX! Plus the figure is pretty sweet too...

Completely agree, just talked to my friend about how in the last few months its been these new cartoon selects, the vol 2 legends, the re-appearance of the vol 1 legends, vol 2 movie selects coming, the Ent Earth boxset was clearanced and just bought by a lot of us...they are trying to cram Guardians down our throat more than the Avengers.

Dammit, Robo. All those shot of this Drax with your 6 inch Guardians has convinced me I need this guy as my new Drax lol. Seriously though, thank for showing how he looks with the Legends Guardians...that's exactly what I was wondering as soon as the Selects were announced. You're killing it with these reviews!

Thanks man! Yeah, it really surprised me how well he fits. Especially since before the Legends version I had that custom that was just as tall and I didn't even realize it. Works for me!

Drax is a very nice figure. The shoulders have a rub though like some legends figures using that Classic Captain America Buck/Wonder Man/Grim Reaper. With Selects you have to pop the figure open by the Ab joint and try to extend the torso using critical thinking to get it to crunch properly. I have not done it with Drax, but if it is a double ball joint, it should be easy.

Yeah, I talk about the rub. And the fix is what I did with Destroyer, and what I talk about doing in this video.

Take the grouping at 10:06 and replace the Groot with the Select, but with the Legends head, that's (imo) the perfect combo. The Selects all look good on their own, but all together, there's just so little consistency between them.

Couldn't agree with you more. I love the new marvel select Drax and the rest of them, besides Star Lord. I always seen him as a huge character even in the comics. He was always close to the same height as space venom! So it works in my six inch collection. Actually they all do, Gamora maybe alil bit tall. But I love the look of her and the accessories. And that Groot is amazing! I've put all my other legend Groots away since that one entered my collection lol.

Great review. I hope you do mod him; I'm looking forward to the vid. I didn't get Starlord, but the other four characters are great and totally fit in with Legends (imo). Drax, to me, is like the Select Colossus. A little too tall, but better than the Legends offerings, and the height is nice when posed behind smaller Legends figs.

I love the character in the movie, but, I can't really think of him as Drax in the movie style or the this modern comic style.....Drax the destroyer will always be a huge green guy with a purple cape to me

The movie Drax has better range of movement and I'm to the point where I prefer the look, but this one is pure comic goodness. It's a hard decision. Pink ax may take it. This one, unless you're just going full-on movie display.
