@lilmeeska Basically, in the comics, The Thunderbolts were created after The Avengers had supposedly died saving the world. It was founded by Citizen V, Atlas, MACH I, Meteorite, Songbird, and Techno. However, they were all secretly villains, known better as Baron Zemo, Goliath, Beetle, Moonstone, Screaming Mimi, and Fixer. (I want to point out that the only person on this list who has even appeared in the MCU is Zemo, and he's not even in the trailer) Their whole plan was to pose as heroes and use the technology, connections, governmental access, etc to make a hypnosis device in space that would let them control the entire world. And here's the thing. The plan worked. Only a small handful of heroes were left, and they had a last ditch effort to take back control that would have failed if not for one tiny little fact. See, some of them actually LIKED being heroes. And because of this, they decided to betray Zemo after they won. However, everyone on Earth after that didn't trust the good Thunderbolts. They thought it was another ruse to get them to lower their guards again. Eventually, Hawkeye track them down and actually started to lead them. That's as far as I'll talk about it, because I don't want to spoil it if you want to read it for yourself. Just know that they have a lot more moralistic struggles than your average superhero team. And it's always nice to see a notorious villain/antihero try and change sides.

For those who are not in the comics, the thunderbolts are sort of like the suicide squad of marvel, except the thunderbolts are in universe intended to be a substitute for the avengers in times when they are disbanded missing or all dead. They are comprised of heroes whose powers and abilities can mimic and serve as a substitute for the og avengers. For example yelena is filling in for her sister, bucky is filling in for cap, and bob aka sentry is filling in for thor. Much like the suicide squad, the thunderbolts are run by a shadowy (but generally good) organization, and they are commanded by nick fury, who is basically a better version of amanda waller The line of doesn't have to be limited to avengers copies either. The comics line of had a counterpart for wolverine which was at sometimes x23, and sometimes wolverine's japanese son. This is going to be a lineup of some of the best anti heroes marvel has to offer, with a generally more heroic lean than the suicide squad which is primarily composed of actual villains

I loved that bonding scene between him & Yelena in Black Widow; it starts out funny with him being typically Alexei with trying to "cheer" her up with his story about him & his dad at the fishing hole (which of course mortifies her like just about everything else he says!😂 I swear she reminds me of Sylvester the cat's son in Looney Tunes who's always embarrassed by what a failure his father is!😆), but then it turns into a sweet genuine father-daughter bonding moment when he actually remembers her favourite childhood song & starts to sing it to her, getting her to sing along, too!
