Ty and good job on this video. As you pointed out, it can be difficult to review a deck based on Pop Culture characters / Fandoms. Sometimes you have to keep a fine balance of knowing just enough for that Xtra layer of Appreciation... But Not so much, that your knowledge and perspective doesn't clash with your view of the cards interpretations from the creators. With that said, I think that you did a good job of explaining the balance 🙂 My thoughts: coins/ pentacles can also mean the world of the material ( not just money but physical objects , and people) And I think that Jean Grey as Phoenix works for death, as the Phoenix also means Rebirth ( another take on Death Card) Can't wait to see the next review ✨👍

Precisely! My family tends to give me Fandom decks as presents so I've accumulated quite a few. And I agree, coins definitely include a component of the material world.

Death cant be like the comics. Death in Tarot is the phoenix/jean, she is rebirth, life and death… even death from the comics is afraid of the phoenix, the phoenix is always changing, cant be avoided, can be delayed, but change will always come… there is no better card for death than jean grey

An excellent point! By choosing Jean Grey they focused on the element of change & transition instead of the concept of endings.
