I love seeing top tier cheese getting humbled by the lower tier characters. Top tier cheese ruined this game, what's the point of having that many characters to choose from if only 10% of them are viable?

Agreed. It's what turned me off eventually from the game, and why I'm not nearly as excited for the re-release. For casual matches, sure fine. But I'm not interested in playing against the same 8 characters over and over again, or conversely having to become good with SMP. I'm looking far more towards Capcom vs SNK 2 being released. That game is incredibly more balanced, and also has a ton of characters. (Although not without its problems, but still.)
