The EX Editions of the Marvel vs. Capcom series always hold a special place in my heart. I don't care what anyone says, but you can tell that Capcom poured their heart and soul into making this port as comprehensive as possible in spite of the PS1 hardware's limitations.

I would agree and the fact that they allowed you to have more freedom in what you could do in it really makes this version my favorite. I'm willing to bet it helped inspire the development of MVC2, because of the freedom that one has.
