Back in 2000, when I first saw this game in the arcade, I had only seen the Genesis strider. I refused to believe it was the same strider (never saw the ps version) despite the slash sounds, the bots and the wall hook. But then I paid attention to this song and I got taken back to that stage in Kazakhstan

Strider may or may not be Capcom's only unoriginal character. His first game was used to boost interest in the manga he originally is from and the games on NES and Genesis were to expand on what the first game started when the manga was too underground even on the Japanese market. Maybe that's why they never have much planned for him since he's not entirely Capcom's to use. And I REALLY love playing his 2014 remake

I hate Strider Hiryu, I could never beat him at the arcade, no matter if he was the first or last enemy before Onslaught, he always killed me, there was one time where I continued after another guy had beaten him and I had no trouble with the final boss, so it really was a Strider thing.
